As a life coach, people are always telling me why they are stuck and why they can’t do certain things. “I don’t like to workout.” or “I’m too forgetful.” Basically what they’re telling me is, “I have no control over my own behavior.” Here’s one we have all heard from someone, “I’m not a morning person.” What if I offered a “non-mo ing person” a million dollars to be a morning person tomorrow morning? Most people would say, “Well, for a million dollars I could be.” So in truth, it’s not that you are not a morning person, or that you don’t have the time or any of the other reasons you give that prevent you from the changes you want, you simply haven’t found the motivation. With the right motivation, and it doesn’t have to be money, you can change and create winning actions in your life. You are not locked into any behavior. Stop placing limits on yourself and talking about the changes you want and the reasons you can’t achieve them. There is no definition of you other than the definition you give yourself. We all have the power to redefine ourselves and create the lives we want. So get motivated to really get the life changes you want.nnBut is motivation enough? Motivational gurus had me ready to tear down walls. I believed that I had the power to change. I believed it and was ready and motivated to make changes, but the changes came too quickly and without a proper foundation the motivation did not last. I eventually ran out of gas. The book would end or the tapes would run out and there I was, left alone and no longer motivated. I’ve been teaching and studying motivation for 20 years. I love and believe in motivation, and many of the motivational leaders have been part of my inspiration. I’ve concluded that motivational gurus provide a fantastic source of energy, but motivation simply is not enough. I want to first motivate you and then give you a life roadmap to actually follow to create the real changes you want and stay motivated to keep the results.. You need to be motivated to build a foundation and continually work on your life. I will use motivation throughout the Tools To Life Program to get you up and perfect the process to make your life whatever you want it to be!
