If you want to know how to get someone to talk to you, look no more. Or at least, read this article and try to see if some of these tips are applicable to you and the circumstances you are in. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain from a bit of self-reflection. Contrary to what most people think, learning how to get someone to talk to you is quite easy! Read on to learn more. Step 1: Be Approachable First. Do you know what you look like when you're standing alone at a party? Or how about when you're talking to strangers? The reason I'm asking is because some people may not realize just how unapproachable they might look to others. In fact, there are some individuals who feel like they're smiling and yet their lips barely even form a curve! If you want to know how to get people to talk to you, make yourself look approachable first. Smile as you're getting punch from the bowl. Smile even when you're not talking to anybody. This makes you look friendlier and encourages people to start a conversation with you. Step 2: Make Eye Contact. Learning how to get someone to talk to you is easy once you have established eye contact. Once this happens, you now have the option to smile or to turn away. Smiling will obviously encourage the person you have made eye contact with to talk to you, while turning away is a clear signal that you don't want to engage in a conversation. It's amazing how much a simple gesture can convey such a clear message! Step 3: Think Of Others First. It's noteworthy to put other people first before yourself. For example, if you're at a party and you have no one to talk to yet, look for another guest and offer him a glass of wine or whatever it is the host is serving. Grab one for yourself too, and stand next to the other guy. He'll most probably say thank you and you can respond appropriately. It won't be long before he strikes up a conversation with you. Of course, you can also start the conversation yourself too. Knowing how to get someone to talk to you is very important in life. This enables you to meet new people, make new friends and broaden your social network all the more!
