There are many people who suffer from bad memory days. Sometimes this is down to the event or task that you are trying to remember and other times it is linked to the type of day or medical issues that you have. However, it is possible to boost your memory naturally and here are just some options available to you.

Exercise More

Experts recommend that you should get 30 minutes of exercise a day, five days a week at least. This is the best way to keep your body in a fit shape. Doing exercise will help to keep the blood pumping around your body and keep your heart healthy; both of which are needed for your brain to work at its maximum potential. You will also fight off some of the diseases and illnesses that are linked to poor memory, such as high blood pressure and cardiovascular disease.

Follow a Good Diet

Eating healthy helps to boost your brain power and keeps you fit and healthy. This involves getting five portions of fruit and vegetables a day and getting a good balance of the different food groups – including fats! However, something that many people do not know is that Omega-3 is perfect to help offer the memory a boost. Omega-3 is found in oily fish and is now in some whole grains. It is the perfect way to keep the brain and heart healthy.

Drink Plenty of Fluids

You should drink between six and eight glasses of fluid a day, which works out to be about four pints. You will commonly hear that you should drink this in water but that is not the case – any fluids will help to do the exact same job as water. You could opt for fruit juices, caffeinated drinks and squashes. You will also find water in fruits and vegetables. The only benefit that water offers above everything else is that it is fully natural and there are no added preservatives and sugars.

Eliminate the Stress

Stress is bad for the body, especially the brain. Being stressed will prevent you from sleeping well, which means that your brain does not get the rest that it needs. You should be getting six to eight hours of sleep a night – but you will know the best amount for your body’s needs. Eliminate the stress to help you sleep better and you will soon find your memory gets a good boost.
