You can always grow to become a great blogger with practice. If you are desiring to draw more traffic to your blog with engaging content that keeps them coming back for more, then read these tips below to find out how to do so.
Where to find your ideas
Probably the best thing that you can do for yourself, is to always be on the lookout for blogging ideas. Harvest from your life. If you have experienced something, ask if someone else would like to learn from your experiences. Can you make your experiences relative to a blog? Will my experiences touch someone, and deliver value?
Do research on relative blogs, and read the comments section. What are some common themes that are coming up? If you see a point being made that you would like to blog about, then do it.
Show your readers your personality
The people who create dry and stale copy on their blogs don't have a following. People aren't coming to your blog just to read what they have to say; they are coming to support you, because they like your personality.
It's good to allow your personality to shine through, because this will create a fan base for your blog. You might just turn some people off, but everything's not for everybody. Focus on the positive supporters, and you'll be fine. Anyway, it's better to make an impression of some sort, than to simply be some milquetoast boring blog.
Don't try to use corporate "million dollar" words either. Be coherent, but be yourself. Write your copy as if you are talking to a friend.
Create a post with bullets, and then fill them in.
Start out your blog post with bullets. This will give you something to work from. This will also give you a broad view of what you'd like to write about. You will be able to manage your flow of thought better in this way.
Blogger find that when they try to write from top to bottom, they can become mentally blocked. But when you map out your thoughts with bullets, you'll be able to come up with things to say a lot easier.
Watch your marketing.
Great blog content and great marketing go hand in hand. People won't stick around if your blog doesn't have great content. But if you aren't marketing, or if your marketing isn't on par, then no one will know about your blog.
This means that your content needs to be of high quality, and you need to be a bit of a marketing guru.
If you apply the four tips mentioned above, then you're going to find that your blogging stats will grow by leaps and by bounds.
