Manga or Japanese animation has been what children and even adults including myself wanting to draw either as a hobby or career.

As a kid myself, I became so obsessed and passionate with manga that I am willing to skip studies and classes occasionally to go to comic stores, buy books and learn to draw at nearby McDonald or Burger King outlets.

Now with internet, buying comics from stores is outdated as there are tons and tons of online videos for you to learn manga drawing.

Sites like Youtube are great online places to search, download and learn manga drawing without having to go to stores and spend money on comics.

But still basic tools and resources like A4 size paper, mechanical pencils, colored pencils, markers, rulers and posters are unavoidable and a must for you to invest if you are serious to create your own style and brand of drawing your own manga comics.

Another essential requirement is time to learn from videos and follow instructions everyday until you become better and proficient in the art of manga drawing.

Videos like books give you the basic steps and fundamentals through drawings and illustrations as examples. When it comes to storywriting, you need to build up from there by continuing to read comics and watch animation series.

Do not just make the story exactly as what you want. Instead ask yourself if you can make it better than what you already know
or better still, if you can come up with something most manga artistes never come up with instead of coming up with rehashed plot like humans defending Earth from aliens.

It can be something related to your everyday life but have a deep impression on you for various reasons.

Another important thing to note is that the person teaching you how to draw must already have a strong foundation and significant success in doing that himself.

This is especially the case when you are being offered a course to teach you about manga drawing. Look at their websites. Apart from just text and images, do they have pictures of their artwork?

More importantly do they have testimonies from past students and how well their students are doing after investing and going through the course.

If you are at Youtube, check to see if they have comments beneath their videos and whether those comments are mostly positive and negative.

Compared to conventional class, you do not have to be present at classrooms and workshops to learn on every lesson. You can simply watch and learn from those videos within the comfort of your room.

Best of all, you can do so anytime and at any other place at your convenience.
