In Viktor Frankl's book, "Man's Search for Meaning," he gives the vivid and detail account of his experiences in a concentration camp of World War II under Adolf Hitler's reign of terror. The descriptive's are emotionally moving and will evoke fear in anyone who reads this work. It is the denouement of a world gone horribly wrong. But this was not some haphazard chance where by everyone was caught in the throws of cultural circumstances. All cultures are predisposed by a model that develops over the annals of time through the process of education.
Ayn Rand once wrote in "philosophy, Who needs it," "Your subconscious is like a computer. Who programs it? Your conscious mind. If you do not reach firm convictions, it gets programmed by chance and you deliver yourself into the power of ideas you do not know you have accepted." This is what is so dangerous about the political climate of a country that goes either un-checked, or is prohibited from being checked under the majority rule and government regulations. It is important for every individual to know what he believes and why, otherwise, if you don't own your own ideas someone else will gladly own them for you.
If our enemies do not possess the military power to over throw us, then all they have to do is slip in the back door with the re-education of a country un-noticed at first and let the revolution occur from with in and a whole nation will destroy itself. However, this requires patience and time, where as, the military option will create an almost immediate change if that country has the power. The re-education of a country is gradual and slow. Those who are being re-programmed do not know it until it is too late. When they find this out, the fall is complete and utter annihilation, certainly of the former model, and usually millions of people. Then people say to themselves, "Oh my God, what has happened? We have been fooled and now there is no hope for us. Why did we do this?" By this time, the nation is suddenly awakened to the truth again, almost as if someone turned the light back on after being turned off during the brain washing.
I had a math professor back in college that told me about a concept called "Critical Point Phenomenon." This concept is defined as, "a slow sneaky rise over a long span of time followed by a disastrous high rise over a short span of time." After the disastrous high rise comes the plummeting into the abyss of extinction. I can illustrate how all this comes together from our own culture. For example, if everything is reduced down to nothing more than opinion and, "your truth is no better than my truth," we experience sudden confusion and out of this confusion and disarray comes the over whelming anxiety generated by uncertainty that permeates American life.
There is no solid ground to plant one's feet. This is clearly an attack on the human intellect. But wait a minute! It is much more than that. This is all inspired by a hatred for human beings and not by a love for mankind. In other words, "how dare you say that you can know something! How dare you!!! And how arrogant of you to think that you know things!" Man is not left with any hierarchy that governs his consciousness. He is never quite sure; he is plagued with perpetual self doubt all the time and does not get relief in any form, except through the psycho tropic medications that treat anxiety and depression for which he will forever be attached.
In conclusion, there is no turning back once this door is opened. I am not saying that we can't turn back, after all, it is possible, but history shows that this is very rare and only occurs every other thousand years or so. The solution: Try to find others with the same ideas as the ones I just described. If you can't, then try to influence people and form your own group. Mean while, dig in and discover your own ideas. Knowledge is more precious than pure gold, and according to Solomon, more powerful than military might. "My people parish for lack of knowledge." Hosea 4:6
