Your CV is a tool that you use to sell your skills and abilities to potential employers, your CV needs to be the best it can because you only have one shot to make an impression. Do you know how to make a cv grab a recruiter by the shirt? Why not use a technique that gets the attention of a recruiter quickly. To really sell your skills why not try using a hard hitting one liners! Ok, so what’s a “one liner” going to do for me? A punchy one liner catches the attention of the recruiter, displays excellent communication skills and makes hard hitting point. Here’s how to use awesome one-liners on your next CV. On your CV you want to communicate how good you are as quickly as you can. Ideally you want the recruiter so stunned they have no choice but to call you. You need to convince them you’re worth their time. Here are a few one liners I’ve used to get my skills across quickly: • Project manager with PMP and Prince2 certifications • Keynote speaker at project manager forums • Managed over $30M in combined project budgets • Managed a team of 10 staff in 3 states • Designed, marketed and managed a new product into a competitive marketplace Benefits Based One Liners Ultimately the jobs you've worked on benefit the company you worked for, otherwise why where you there right! You always want to make sure that you present this in your CV. If you can show the benefits you provided to the companies you worked for in a snappy one liner, you’re letting recruiters know your true value. Here’s some more: • Successfully delivered a $3M project increasing the production of CompanyX to 200 units per months • Increased the profit of CompanyX by 20% by successfully doing ThingX • Saved CompanyX 2m through initiatives such as ThingX and ThingY Use one liners to make your CV stand out!
