Bananas are originally from South and South East Asia and are first cultivated in Papua New Guinea. They are commonly found in tropical islands. The fruit is very fibrous and sweet with a distinct smell. Bananas are filled with B Vitamins, Vitamin C and potassium chloride. B Vitamins help us convert carbohydrates into sugar and produce energy for the body to use. They also contain serotonin which is called the happy hormone. Vitamin C helps our immune system and fight against diseases. Potassium chloride is a natural diuretic. On the other hand, nuts are filled with essential oils and fatty acids that serve as antioxidants. Banana nut bread has been around for a very long time and every family have their own precious recipes. It is a moist, cake-like quick bread with a distinct sweet taste. It is also a great way to use over ripe bananas that are still good to eat. The first thing to get is ripe bananas. Some people think that to get the best bananas, you should get a perfect smooth skin. But the real sweet bananas are the ones that come with a bit of a bruised skin and smells like ripe banana. They are the ones best in this recipe. Unripe bananas will make this recipe a bit bitter and it won’t smell like real banana nut bread. You can also get the maximum benefits of bananas from over ripe or ripe ones rather than unripe bananas. So make sure that you get the ripest bananas that you can find. Also measure the ingredients properly as baking is a science and wrong measurements may make your bread taste odd.
