Decision-making can be worrying. The worrying is worse when you try to make decisions centered on what the people around you want you to do. The best kinds of decisions are the ones that you make that guide you to the contentment and success you are worthy of!
Contribution from your friends and family can be crucial for making it easier for you to make big decisions, but remember you are the one who has to live with the after effect. The most important thing is, those decisions should be the best decisions for you above all else. But how do you make those decisions? Ask yourself these three questions every time you need to make a decision of great consequence.
Whose solution or Idea Is it?
Where did the idea come from? Consider the source is it yours, or is it from someone else? Taking on someone else's solution to a problem without your contribution can lead to a decision that you will later regret. Remember if you are not really sure what you want then stop and consider what you do want before you make the decision.
The one thing to remember is that you are the controller of your own destiny, and involvement from others is no alte
ative for your own feelings about the situation that you need to decide upon. Your family and friends may have your best interests at heart, but those people are not you. They don't know everything about your circumstances. At the end of the day only you can know what is best for you.
If I make a Bad Decision who will suffer from the Outcome?
Remember this, when you get contradictory possibilities form other people about a decision you are about to make, reflect about how each possibility will affect you. It is easy to counsel others when you're not the one who'll endure the penalties of a bad decision. Be a master of your fate by choosing the outcome you are worthy of.
How Does the Decision Feel to Me?
Once you have arrived at a final decision, contemplate on the path you have selected. Does it make you feel serene inside, or does it cause you to battle with feelings of hesitation and uncertainty? Decisions that bring you serenity are frequently the best choice. Make decisions that deliver the greatest satisfaction for the longest amount of time.
The decisions you make should:
* Give you happiness instead of only momentary gratification
* Be worth giving your time and energy for
* Give you the feeling that you are doing the correct thing
* Cause no damage to others, or the environment
If any choice you are bearing in mind fails to meet all of these standards, it probably falls short of the perfect choice for you. Of course what you choose is up to you, but your decisions will eventually affect both you and others. So it is essential to ponder over your options cautiously.

The Power Of Short Term Goals
I have studied high achievers for 25 years, including 23 as a television news reporter. Time and time again I saw the power of goal setting, especially short term goals. Nick Missos was a Warsaw, Indiana 9th grader who wanted to be on the wrestling team. He had two things going against him: he was very weak, and he wa…
