How to overcome fear and manage my life
Written by Rory Cohen
The question to ask yourself is: What is the most powerful place I can come from right now as I manage my life and business? Fear and uncertainty are great wake up emotions, but they are not powerful implementation emotions. What you want to do is magnetize the prosperity in your life, align your thoughts and emotions with your vision of abundance, and take your action steps from there.
Here's a quick alignment exercise:
1. Sit quietly in a comfortable place, slow your breathing.
2. Call to mind a time when you felt perfectly safe and content.
3. Allow those feelings of contentment to fill you.
4. Get a clear picture in your mind of yourself having everything you need to live a full and happy life. Really see yourself safe, secure, fed, clothed, and loved. (If you are a Take 10 user, listen to Track 4 of the Someday Dream CD to help with this vision.)
5. Keep that vision in your mind as you let the emotions of safety and contentment wash over you.
6. Picture all of the things in your life that you are grateful for, that you wouldn't sell for a million dollars: your health, family, home, everything you can think of.
7. This is where you are headed: to a life of gratitude and abundance. Come up with a Big Idea Declaration that will remind you of this, such as: I am grateful for my many blessings. I am a prosperity magnet, gracefully attracting exactly what I need into my life.
8. If you start to feel overwhelmed by feelings of fear or scarcity, sit down, take a breath, and repeat your Declaration a few times until you can feel that all is well.
9. Take your actions from there.
The point of this type of exercise is simply to put yourself in the most powerful frame of mind and spirit in which to take your actions. You will be more effective, feel more energized if you can learn to click into an attitude of prosperity than if you try to slog your way through your day feeling frightened and defeated.
Give it a try, and let us know what happens.
