I recently had the opportunity to attend Mark Victor Hansen's Mega Book Marketing University in Los Angeles. You might know him as the founder and co-creator of the "Chicken Soup for the Soul" book series. n
When I was presented with the opportunity to attend the conference, fear set in immediately. My mind raced a mile a minute. The thought of traveling all the way to L.A. with my little old self to be locked in a hotel for four days with a community of my peers in an effort to learn from the industry's best and possibly pitch my book to literary agents was overwhelming to say the least. Not to mention the time commitment, financial investment, and distance away from my family. Mind you, I had never been that far away from my children - EVER! But oddly enough, it was the level of fear that I was experiencing that convinced me that I had to go to the conference. Ultimately, the conference changed my life and was key in propelling me forward on my journey. n
It just so happens that I experience a sizable amount of fear on a daily basis that makes me just uncomfortable enough to know that I am heading in the right direction and need to keep pushing forward.

I have found during my journey that the things I fear the most, inevitably lead to the greatest success when I tackle them head on. And once tackled, there is a great sense of accomplishment!

Whether you have fear attached to tackling your financial, career development, health and fitness, or personal growth goals to name just a few, it is in your best interests to push through that fear to get to the other side of the rainbow where your pot of "goals" awaits you.

Here are 3 tips to help you push through your fear to accomplish your goals:

Tip #1: Examine the tasks you fear the most. If you've been putting them off for a while, you are most likely resisting tasks that will provide you the greatest rewards. Be honest with yourself as to your reasons for procrastinating and then reevaluate your action plan.

Tip #2: Don't fight the fear - go with it! Just enough fear let's us know we're alive and moving in the right direction. Feeling the fear and doing it anyways can be exhilarating and rewarding. Let the fear bring you closer to your goals.

Tip #3: Quitting is not an option! Once you make the bold decision to move forward there is no turning back. Fear will continue to rear its intimidating head so say hello and keep moving forward. Remember, quitters never win and winners never quit!n n
