Unknown to most people is the fact that labs contract their prices with insurance companies, clinics and doctor’s offices and pricing can vary widely!
The reason most people do not understand this is because labs are typically paid for by insurance companies.
These days, people have such high deductibles or lack insurance entirely, they are having to pay these fees themselves.
For example, a thyroid TSH, T3/T4 Panel can cost almost $300….
A Vitamin D panel can cost close to $200 if not more…
Currently, I have contracted with a supplier who is offering much better pricing for blood tests, probably about a third of what is listed above or usual and customary.
