How to secure business capital investment for young budding entrepreneurs.
Written by Michael McGillian
Opening a business from scratch can be a daunting task, with so much paperwork to fill in, registering your company name, opening bank accounts, setting up a merchant account to accept credit card payments and loads more.
Once set up and things are running smoothly, you may find you want to grow your business, to become a leader in your field and to gain some of the market share, maybe employing more staff, maybe you want to start supplying company vans and uniform.
All this is going to take more investment capital, which I’m sure you all know when you have just set up your business and have already spent all your budget in the initial stages, moving forward can be a challenging task to say the least.
The first initial source to look for extra capital investment would obviously be the bank, but if like most start up company’s you have already taken out a loan from a bank, then it may be hard to get another loan, on top of the loan you already have outstanding, and would you really want to take out another loan meaning a good few more years of debt invested in your business.
Well there are other solutions, that most people fail to recognize, as long as you have a strong business idea, a great business plan a great profit forecast, and a great turnover, there may be an investment organisation that’s willing to help.
Many young entrepreneurs don’t know there are investment companies looking for business investment opportunities, so if you can show that your business is profitable and worth investing in, then it would be a good thing to approach an investor, who would then take a look at your figures and make a decision if your company or business proposal is worth their time and money.
There are quite a few investors or investment companies that are looking for the next big thing and that can offer funding opportunities, the one that springs to mind is the Funding Angels www.thefundingplace.com
The Funding Angels is a website geared towards finding young budding entrepreneurs with great business ideas, and investing in their business to help build the company into a more profitable business, but there is a difference betwee
The Funding Angels and other companies that will invest, the difference being that The Funding Angels are a website where investors go to bid on your company.
So basically it’s like auctioning your business to the best investor, this way you secure the best deal for your company and by adopting this concept, ensures the investor you get really wants to see your business flourish as they would've had to battle in auction to secure the deal.
I think this is a great idea, and hope young budding entrepreneurs take advantage of the website, to showcase their company and hopefully gain that much needed investment which will allow a small business to grow and develop into a major company or organisation.
