How can I stay on the road to Heaven?

1: Constant PRAYER!!! I cant begin to tell you how important this is. Prayer is how we communicate with God. During prayer we first want to worship, praise and thank him for all that he is and all that he has done. Then we want to make sure we are not selfish and pray for others. Lastly we want to present our needs to the Lord. We must stay in constant communication with God. We can talk to him just as we do with friends and family, trusting and knowing that he is in fact listening. God favors a close relationship with you over any kind of good works, because without him and your faith in him your good deeds are dead. Every time your going through rough times pray, when your happy pray, when your feeling sick pray. Pray, pray, pray. Although you can pray anywhere at anytime, one on one alone time in a quiet place is where God can manifest his presence among you.
2: Bible Study : The Bible is food for our Spirit. It remind us of God’s promises and teachings. Keeps us safe and protected from false religions and teachings. It also contains exciting stories, uplifting poetry, beautiful songs, and encouragement from regular people just like you and me showing us that all things are possible through Christ. Make Bible study a daily thing. Remember work your schedule around Jesus, not Jesus around you schedule.
3 Church:
"Let us not neglect our meeting together, as some of us do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near." Hebrews 10:25.

Going to church is also important. We receive messages from God through our wonderful pastors and receive encouragement from other members in the church. We can go to them for help and advice, and also provide to them the same services in return. "Church" doesn’t necessarily mean a building that is considered a church. A assembly of 2 or more people gathered in his name to praise, teach, learn, and worship him is considered a church as well.

4: SAVE SOULS: Be a constant joy to God by spreading the good news to anyone and everyone you can. Our job is to gather as many souls as possible before Christ’s return.

"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptiz-ing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20.

Be kind to everyone and help other whenever you can. Jesus teaches that its more blessed to give than to receive. He also teaches us that just as good deeds are dead without a relationship and faith in Christ, so is a rich relationship and faith in Christ is dead without good deeds. If you call yourself a Christian and know God’s word but do not go our a plant seeds in the hearts of others than your faith is dead. For the Gospel of Christ contains foundations in love, helping, and transformation. How can we be Christians and come to know the good news and not feel a urge to share it with other? Remember to not judge others and to love everyone just as Christ loves you. Do not be disappointed if some people do not want to listen to you.

"If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you." John 15:18-19 .

When you become one of God’s children, it may feel like everyone is against you, even your own friends and family. Do not fall back out of loneliness and hang around with people you shouldn’t doing what they are doing. You can still love your unsaved friends and family and speak with them but be careful how much time you spend with them and what you guys do...they can easily bring you back to your old ways. This is why God said:

"I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people." Therefore "Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you. I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the Lord Almighty." 2 Corinthians 6:16-18

Then in 2 Corinthians 7:1 it says:

"Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God."

God encourages us to separate from those who just don’t want to change no matter what you say. Not to isolate ourselves from everyone, just those who may be a danger to our salvation. We can still be friends with them, even spend time with them as support and show our good fruits, so that maybe by our positive actions they come to a change of heart. Remember, the commands that God request of us may seem hard and difficult or impossible to achieve. But the fruits of the spirit are:

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law."
Gal 5:22-23

And we CAN accomplish becoming individuals filled with these good attributes. For we have a God that will never forsake us. A God who promises to help us through our journey of Life. You have to trust him... and then you will see his Glory.
