Let’s get straight into this.
Too many direct sales people struggle with the cold list, warm list thing and lots of family and friends are running scared of having conversations with these newbie business owners! Is there another way to warm people up? I mean, I get it, the more people you speak to, the more likely you are to sell something, right? And yet… Com’on, lets put our thinking caps on and see if it can be easier for everyone.
1. Only sell something you believe in!
It seems obvious but a lot of budding entrepreneurs just want to sell any old thing that could make them some money because now they want financial freedom and so the world must part and give it to them. But they underestimate how bad they will feel inside about selling something they do not believe in. This will sabotage you every single time.
Unless you are a pretty callous individual, the idea of continually taking money away from your prospect when yuo think that your product is sub-par will finally wear you down and you will not be able to carry it on. And honey, this works even when the produc itself is awesome. If YOU are not sold completely on it, then that reluctance will start to shine through.
So, take everything you know on your product and sell yourself on it.
If you can’t, then find another product! Do not stick with it because you invested money to promote it – Drop it and be more disce ing on the next product you choose to sell. Understand that your time is worth so much more than any money you invested. Get out quickly and find something else that yuo can literally be an evangelist for.
When you know that you are leaving people better off than when you found them, it is easier to sell your stuff.
2. Use social media
If you do not like the cold calling, cold list, warm list thing, then please stop doing it!
In this day and age, there is no longer a need to speak to someone completely cold or even to harass your friends and family. Instead, build a solid and friendly social media presence, warm people up there and from time to time ( on a daily basis), mention your product with the enthusiasm it deserves and watch people who actually want to know more, put their hands up and ask you to communicate with them.
DO NOT only post updates of your product or business opportunity. Only post that 10-15% of the time, choose instead to think through the kinds of people who would be interested in what you have to offer and what would interest them. On Facebook, inspirational and motivational quotes and anything that makes people feel good, will draw people to you like bees to honey and then you can mention what your business is about to these people and see who puts their hands up. Have a video that explains the opportunity that you can send people to and havea solid call to action at the end so that people can then reach out and ask for more information.
Then and only then do you get on the phone with them.
3. Mentally rehearse winning
Too many people ask the ill-fated question – “Why is this not working for me?” and wonder why they keep getting no results. You ask yourself a question, you get an answer and your brain keeps looking for answers and you keep playing out the ‘not working for me’ part of that question.
A more empowering state of mind is to spend time imagining WINNING! Play out the conversations you are going to have that result in sales. Ask yourself how you can creatively position your product and opportunity so that more people ask for the conversation with you.
Ask yourself “What can I do to win?”
Imagine winning and see in your mind’s eye, the activities you performed to win. Then DO THEM!
One of the worst things you can do as an entrepreneur getting into frequent sales situations is to stay isolated, trying to work things out alone. You need a supportive posse and constant motivation to get you up and running – The Deliberate Millionaire Business Mastermind is exactly the place to learn the skills of sales and marketing and also the place to be surrounded by a posse of people who care about your results.

Is Nice Energy Sabotaging Your Business?
I’ll share with you that when I first started in business the image of a leader that I brought with me was an authority figure who has the power to hurt those that are following them. This was because I was so used to being around authority figures who were coming from a place of leading through fear (I came out of the very toxic public school system). I knew I didn’t want that in my business.
