How to Talk to Girls

A lot of men out there want to know how to talk to women in a cool and confident way that will build attraction. It is actually pretty easy if you stop doing all the normal, things men do that just turn women off.

These are my personal secrets on how to talk to women:

Quit using pick up lines. These are the worst thing you can say. Most guys use pick up lines as a band aid when they're too lazy to actually pay attention to the girl or her situation. It makes you look about as charming as a panhandler begging for a few quarters. "Spare a buck or two?" Does that make you feel like sitting down and meeting someone new? I didn't think so.

Quit trying to impress girls with your corporate job, your BMW, or any other stupid toys in your toy chest. You're starting everything off by treating her as someone you need to impress, which isn't going to get you very far at all. You are walking up to her with the frame of mind that you are below her. If you have a little brother or sister that was always trying to impress you and your friends growing up, you know how pestering that can be. Not anything you want to be.

For the same reason, don't make a huge deal about how "beautiful" or "hot" the woman is. Odds are pretty high that she already knows you like her. I don't have to tell you this since you're not a shallow guy, right?

Okay, so that's what you should steer clear from. Here is my advice to keep in mind when talking to women.

Approach her like a friend and just have an enjoyable conversation. Try to see her as equal to you. Some dating coaches out there advise that you act like you're above the girl. I'm not one of these guys. It is easy to overdo it and look like a total jerk. This personally isn't for me, but I will say that will put you ahead of all the men that make the mistakes I wrote about above.

If you see someone as an equal to you, there is no compulsive need to prove yourself to them. You simply enjoy each other's company and have a good time. Yes, there's a good chance that she's really attractive, but that's no reason to act differently.

Remember she is an actual person that has her own fantasies and fears. Someone who has her own set of bad habits. Once you begin to really understand this stuff, you never have to worry about coming off as creepy again. Plus, the odds will be much more on your side that she will actually feel attracted to you.

The core of the message here is to not act like she is someone better than you. As long as you think that you need to work to impress her, you're doomed before you even begin. It shouldn't be rocket science to talk to women. Just remember that both of you are equals and want to have fun.
