Aloha!
Have you been let go from your job, due to downsizing, funding cuts, management change, merger, or other reasons that, while logical, leave an emotional sting? Not to mention the financial impact! Sorry to hear that. Here are three ways to support your ability to get back into your own center, on your feet, and moving forward again with increased focus & dignity:
1. Nurture yourself. Surviving a job separation to then thrive in a healthful manner necessitates nurturance, the sooner the better. Do you have loved ones whose opinions of you are not contingent upon your employment status? Great! Call upon them for extra caring at this time; no shame there. If not, then sorry about that, though the independence can be even more powerful.
The strongest love to nurture you through this transition comes from within. Connect to Source. Then make specific arrangements to participate in activities that make you feel special, no matter how many negative thoughts and emotions you experience. To get out of it, you must go through it. Dive into self-care. Examples: Take that bubble bath. Use your aromatherapy oils. Laugh at those comedy performances. Curl up with your favorite blanket. What nurtures you best? Soak in all the self-love you know how to soak in, and then soak in some more!
2. Move your body. Almost tired of the daily stories? Almost done feeling stagnant, angry, and sorry for yourself? Almost ready to get up off of the couch, toss aside the blanket, turn off the tv and get moving? Almost? Almost is the right timing for when to get moving. Begin with gentle activities, especially if you’re not used to a demanding physical regimen. Walk around the block. If you’ve let your yoga or qigong practice slide, pick it back up. Even one posture for a few minutes creates a step in the right direction – literally. Moving your body gets your energy flowing again. You can do it! You KNOW you can.
3. Refresh your perspective. After a job separation can be a powerful time to press the reset button in your life. What have you always wanted to do, yet felt obligated to that job so didn’t take the time to pursue? That goal may well be within reach now, with your new freedom! Breathe in the possibility. If it ignites your passion, then that may well be your true new life path. How exciting is that?
In accordance with that renewed goal, reorganize your belongings. Begin with your work space, a desk if you use one. How do you want to arrange it to support that new goal? Create easy accessibility for a smooth flow of movement. How are your notes and ideas organized and stored? What items rest within your field of vision – what photos, which artwork? Go for centered motivation. Use your previously stifled creativity to form your new environment, and then plant yourself like a seed in that new environment. Breathe in the new energy, new ideas, and allow yourself to sprout, knowing that you can & will bloom where you are planted. You’ll be fine, if not better! BAM!!! (Blessed and Multiplied)
Allow these 3 uncomplicated yet potent steps to support your ability to shake off the shame, frustration, and stagnation to move you into action! You still have a purpose in this world that extends beyond the couch. Get up and strut your stuff!
Please share where helpful. Thank you!
Miracles and blessings.

Telephone Call from Mama from the Spirit World.
My mother died suddenly October 20, 1987, at the age of 67 from a heart attack. Earlier that year she had told me about health problems she had experienced, and I told her that I believed she had suffered a heart attack and needed to see a medical doctor. “No,” she said, “They’ll just pick on my weight and I just don’t want to stop eating because it’s the only thing that makes me happy.” I knew that my mother was a very unhappy person, and I couldn’t argue with what she had stated. She had expressed for several years that she really wanted to die because she was so unhappy.
