One of the most beneficial meditation techniques is called guided imagery meditation. Guided meditations use music along with verbal suggestions that paint a picture in your mind to help align the body-mind connection. A picture is worth a thousand words and your subconscious mind easily responds to the images you hold in your imagination. Here is a great example of using guided imagery to change your body. Simply imagine in your mind a lemon. Imagine you can smell it and see the pitted yellow waxy skin, smell the fresh scent of lemon it in your mind. Now imagine that you are cutting the lemon in half with a sharp knife, watch as the lemon juice runs down the blade of your knife. Next, pretend that you are going to squeeze the lemon juice in your mouth and taste the bitter lemon juice in your mouth. Notice what is happening to your mouth? Without even closing your eyes, I caused your mouth to water by suggesting images for you to visualize. This is the power of guided imagery and the body-mind connection. Learning to use it will change your life forever. It is easier than you think. If you're thinking about buying a guided imagery CD, it's important to find one that promotes simplicity and helps you to visualize, by describing images in detail. It's always a good idea to find an instructional CD with imagery work that is easy to understand, employing a comfortable and soothing presentation. Guided imagery is a powerful way to create changes in your life. Did you know that until you change your self-image, you will never permanently change anything in your life. Self-image is important and powerful. So what exactly is your self-image? It is simply how you imagine yourself. You have thousands of “self-images” running through your mind. You have an image of yourself as a friend, a co-worker, a lover, a parent. You have an image of yourself in relationship to… your siblings, money, health, humor, relationships. So to use guided imagery properly you will need to focus your mind and visualize how you’d like to be, look, feel and act. Consciously changing your self-image is a powerful way to make changes in your life and guided imagery is an easy way to do it. Was it difficult to make your mouth water in the above exercise? No, it just happened, because of the power of your imagination. Likewise, changes can start to happen easily when you consciously use your mind to help you create change. With over 20 years of experience in the field of guided meditatio I can walk you through the process in a fast and effective manner, simply by listening to any of my top ten best selling guided meditations. There are CDs for sleep, weight loss, ending procrastination.

“Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children” (Ephesians 5:1). Everyone is a child of God, for God is the Source of all. Everyone is beloved to God. So what are dear children? I learned the answer to that from the mouth of a barely educated old lady in the summer of 1958. I was at a church meeting in a tiny, very poor little town in a corner of Oklahoma. During the Sunday School class this verse from Saint Paul was read, and the teacher asked an elderly lady if she would not explain it.
