I am the KING of failure

At some point in our lives, we are all gripped with a crippling fear. Some will not admit it, but most people will. This crippling fear is that of failure. This fear is so appalling that it stops the majority of people from even taking the beginning step. They make comments like, 'What if I start a business and make a loss? What if I follow my passion of sports and fail? What if I up skill myself miss out when applying for the higher position that has come available in my company? What if I invest in myself now and don't reap instant financial rewards? What if we train our staff in a downtu
and fail?'
It boggles me that so many out there will never take a step towards their dreams because they are too afraid. Afraid of something that has not happened yet. I will repeat that again. Something that has not happened yet.
What a scary and daunting thought. After all who wants to fail? No one wants to be associated with failure and unfortunately it is for that reason that many never capitalise on their talent and potential. They are so worried about failing.
Talk to anyone successful and they will tell you of all the times they have failed. They will tell you that for the success they have today; they have endured much more failures. They will share with you that the rewards of getting what they want far out weighs the failures they have faced.
Those winning the game of life are those who embrace failure as something that will remain constant through out their life. No matter how successful they are in what ever they do, they will have the failures to go alongside it. Their mental acceptance of failure as merely stumbling blocks is a reason for their immense success. I talk more about this in my book.
I want to leave you with what I once shared with a client of mine a few years ago. He had asked me, how was it that I turn every negative situatio
I am in into a success?
My reply was very simple and from the heart. I produce more failures at any one time than a hundred people put together. It seems that the harder I try, the more I fail. But whilst most people focus on the failure, I learn my biggest lessons from my failures. I operate smarter because of my failures, and I achieve bigger things because of my failures. Failure is one side of the coin, with which the other side (success) couldn't exist on its own.
With that, set out towards what you want to achieve. Expect mini-failures along the way, but always keep your eyes on the prize.
It is there waiting for you to claim it.

Appreciation Works!
Things just have not been going well at work lately. A new co-worker is kissing up to the boss and the boss is eating it up. You can see your shot at a promotion going swiftly down the drain. Your "task list" (who comes up with these PC cover-ups for more work, anyway?) is ever increasing, and ...

The Joy (?!) Of Family Life
Your house is a zoo – literally. It’s not just the dog, the cat, the three hamsters and the goldfish, heck, they’re downright neat compared to the human animals inhabiting your humble abode – three kids and a mate. You come home at night and all you see is mess, mess, mess. Everywhere clothes ...

Are You Attached to How Your Life Looks?
Which is more important: the structure of your life or the foundation of who you are? One individual provided an extreme example of why this is important. A friend/coaching client asked me to help him find his footing about a work-related incident. He works in the mental health field where clients receive whatever assistance they need, as well as guidance to live as independently as possible. A co-worker is away for a while, so my friend and members of his team have each taken on several of her clients. One of these additional clients received money to make payments, but lost it.
