If You Want To Make Massive Amounts Of Money Using Internet Marketing, You Have To Get Very Good At This

It just amazes me how often I observe Internet marketers go through 95% of what they ought to go through to successfully promote their products, services or business opportunity online, and then fall short of the mark because of the 5% they omit to do. Unfortunately, that 5% is a killer.
It’s like you and your family getting ready to take a once-in-a-lifetime month-long vacation somewhere exotic. The morning of the big day, you run the checklist of what is needed to ensure a safe and rewarding holiday: plane tickets, cruise tickets, hotel reservations, guide bookings, cameras, batteries, shots, suitcases, clothes, mail hold, credit cards, debit cards, driver’s license, etc, etc. And then you realize you forgot to get the required visas that take a minimum of 10 days to obtain. Ouch! You got 95% of it right, but that 5% will kill your vacation plans dead.
Look if you’re marketing on the Internet for the purpose of making tons of sales so you can make lots of money – and take your family on an adventure like the one aforementioned – you need to generate a lot of qualified traffic to your Web site. To do that, you must grab the ATTENTION of the surfers long enough for them to click your link. That’s the little thing – the 5% – that too many marketers forget to invest enough energy into.
Traffic is good, but traffic doesn’t pay the bills. Next, you must generate lots of high-quality leads and prospects you will later try to turn into loyal customers and clients. Again, for that to happen, you must grab and keep their ATTENTION long enough for them to do what is required to get them on your mailing list.
We, the BizzBoosters, think that ATTENTION is THE magic keyword for business success online – business success with any marketing for that matter; business cards, emails, text ads, banner ads, articles, networking events, etc. And we’re not the only ones who think that way. Here is an interesting observation from Harry Beckwith, one of the most renown marketing experts on the planet. It’s from his bestselling book Selling the Invisible:
“It’s not a cold, hard world; it’s just a very busy one. You know it firsthand: a dozen things compete for your ATTENTION, and you have only so much attention to give. So you must know that your prospects have only so much attention to give, too. Give them powerful reasons to listen to you, or they will give you only ear service. They may listen, but they will not hear—and ACT! Your greatest competition is not your competition; it is indifference. Until you realize that, you will be beaten badly by your first, and toughest, competitor: indifference.”
That IS a big problem! I partially read hundreds of ads and Web pages everyday, and the vast majority of them leave me totally indifferent – which is why I only read them partially, and never get to the “click here” links or Buy Now buttons. Why? Because there was nothing in there to grab and hold my ATTENTION. And I bet you it’s the same for Michel Neray, another marketing luminary, who said the following in a recent interview with marketing guru Robert Middleton:
“The challenge, and this is true whether you’re developing a headline for a sales page, or talking with somebody, or trying to get their ATTENTION as they’re walking by your booth at a trade show, is to interrupt their brain pattern. Because people are preoccupied with whatever they are preoccupied with. So they are always looking for a reason to tune you out and go back to their own thoughts.”
And their own thoughts rarely have to do with clicking your link, subscribing to your ezine, signing up with your home based business opportunity, asking for your free eBook or eCourse.
So, the next time you’re writing an ad, an article, a Web page, an email, or designing a banner ad, a flyer or a business cards, look at all the ingredients you need to make it successful (the 95%) and make absolutely certain that you will have something in there – preferably in the title or in the first few lines or the first screen – that will grab and hold the person’s ATTENTION long enough to make them do what you want them to do – what you NEED them to do if you want to make the sales and go on a much deserved holiday. That’s the 5% that makes ALL the difference. Think of it as the mandatory “visa” to Internet marketing success!
I wish you ALL the business success you desire and deserve. Remember that the success you desire is function of your ambition, but the success you deserve is function of your ACTION!
