Improvement in Job Market in 5 Years, Majority Indians Proclaim: Survey

Nearly 68 per cent operating professionals from industries like IT/ITES, health care and pharmaceutical company, consumer retail, BFSI and skilled services sectors feel that the job market has improved considerably over the last 5 years, a new survey aforesaid on Tuesday.

For sixty-six per cent of male staff and sixty per cent women staff, the start-up ecosystem in the country has remarkably evolved in the last 5 years and offers additional entrepreneurial opportunities, said the joint survey by the independent think tank Centre for economic policy research (CEPR) and online interactive learning solutions platform Talentedge.

“We’re living in an atmosphere where economic and skilled growth both are rising up the curve. New developments in technology are resulting in the creation of latest job profiles and, hence, the necessity for additional skilled working professionals,” said Dr Subhash Sharma, Director, CEPR.

Nearly seventy per cent of the respondents opined that they’ll have higher career opportunities within the near term.

With digitisation coming back into the image, seventy-five per cent of the respondents agreed that they’re getting a lot of opportunities to create a bigger impact in their current job roles.

An average of sixty-eight per cent working professional across the country have gotten a minimum of one positive career advancement during a recent time frame.

There are important opportunities for individuals of all qualifications but professionals with advanced degrees have a lot of higher growth choices.

“Seventy per cent working professionals expect continued improvement within the job market conditions because the country rides the digitisation wave,” the findings showed.
