Cultivating a good studying habit has been one of the greatest puzzle students find hard to solve. In most case, some students see it as a waste of time because at early stage it seems difficult to comply with, and also the body is not comfortable when an individual spending not less than four hours reading. Most of the basic reasons why student find it difficult to cultivate a good study habit are; lack of self-organization, procrastination, zero motivation, inappropriate reading environment,poor memory, poor life style, non-directional approach on setting goals. And these reasons are not farfetched because it is a day-to-day attitude that students come up with, which can be easily detected and given the available solutions to, if students fall victim to any of the problem listed above.

Be Organized - One of the basic factors that affect cultivating good study habit is the ability to organized yourself, if possible get a daily planner that will you distinguish time for other event to that of reading and also help you to be time conscious and be able to cover up the required topics for that day.

Developing Time Management Skills - Create a specific time where all your assignment will be given full attention. This will enable better understanding conce
ing any subject that seems difficult and also increase performance in school.

Choose A Study Location - To cultivate a good study habit an environment that is conducive for reading must put into consideration. Such environment must be free from noise such as the sound of music, any other form of distraction that will lead to loss of concentration. Also, much intake of carbohydrate, beverages should also be considered to avoid dizziness.

Set Goal - To enhance study habit, setting attainable and realistic goal is encouraged to increase your desire to study more; this goal should not be too high from your current achievement since it is a gradual process. For example, if your present grade is 'C' strives for 'B' not 'A' to avoid discouragement, this will improve your performance till you achieve your main goal.

Apply Realistic Pictures - The use of realistic pictures will help your recollect topics that can easily be forgotten. There is every tendency to recall topics that are represented with realistic pictures than the one you just read.

Reward yourself - When you achieve your goal, try to reward yourself. You can decide to watch a particular movie or play football so as to motivate you in attaining greater height next time, all work and no play makes jack a dull boy.

Improve Your Memory - You can improve your memory by continuous reciting those subjects you have learnt. Jot down those topics you find difficult, if possible quiz yourself over them. In this way, your level of accumulation will greatly increase.
