Ayurvedic Treatment of Paralysis
In paralysis ayurvedic treatment is the best option because as mentioned it is a holistic system of medicine. Apart from balancing the Vata dosha, Ayurveda also focuses on normalizing the flow of Prana Vayu which is the essential life force running the body. For the balancing of the three main doshas, panchakarma therapy is used and the following treatments are used for normalizing the flow of the Prana Vayu.- Abhyangam – This is a specialized massage therapy applied to the entire body using medicated oils.
- Padabhyanga – this is a therapy which relaxes the muscles and ligaments in the lower limbs.
- Snehavasti – This is a herbal enema which corrects the balance of the Vata dosha and removes the Vata Vyadhi from the body. This, in turn, restores normalcy in the affected part of the body.
- Pizchil – This is also a type of massage therapy with warm medicated oils that rejuvenates the nerves and the muscles of the affected body part.
