Instructions for Taking Accurate Before & After Photos

TAKE PHOTOS TO MEASURE PROGRESS FOR WEIGHT LOSS...MUSCLE BUILDING...OR PROPER POSTURE.nn* Follow these directions to assure a good documentation of all body areas.
* It’s important to maintain the same conditions each time you take the photos.
* Take follow-up photos about every 4 to 8 weeks for comparison and to monitor changes.
RECOMMENDED ATTIREnn* Ideal attire for men…Shorts or briefs only.
* Ideal attire for women…2-piece bathing suit or similar outfit.
* Do not wear shoes or socks.
* Any clothing worn should be form fitting against the skin.
* Clothing should not be too tight or compress the natural body contours.
* Make sure that clothing is evenly aligned (ex. waist bands, straps, shorts length, etc.)
* Keep long hair tied back (so that it doesn’t cover your back).
* Plan to wear the same type of clothing for future photographs.
LOCATION & ENVIRONMENTnn* Choose an area with good lighting.
* A plain or bare background is best…Eliminate any clutter from the area.
* Stand on an even surface…A hard floor or thin carpet is preferable.
* Don’t eat or drink too much right before taking the photos.
POSINGnn* Take 8 full length body photos…(from head to toes).
* Use 2 different poses…from 4 different angles.
* Include any additional photos that you need…(close-ups, flexing poses, etc.)nn* Stand up straight (but not overly rigid).
* Stand with feet 8 to 12 inches apart (even with each other).
* Look straight ahead.nn* 1st Pose…Keep arms relaxed at your sides.
* 2nd Pose…Place hands on top of your head with arms up (elbows pointed outwards).
