Bentonite is a type of clay found in the North Western part of the United States. It is considered a mineral that contains numerous cleansing properties. For centuries, Indians and other natives have used bentonite as a health aid. Now, people are using it to perform bentonite detox procedures to remove heavy metals, bacteria, toxins, and other unwanted buildup from the body. It is used as a laxative and effectively works it's way through the digestive system until thoroughly cleansed. Once bentonite is consumed, it quickly forms into a gel once it reaches the digestive system. In order to keep it moving through the body, a fiber supplement such as psyllium husk must be consumed. During the course of the bentonite detox, a large amount of water must also be consumed to help keep everything moving along properly. There are quite a few benefits to consuming bentonite. Your body will no longer have anymore unwanted buildup and finally be able to digest nutrients again to it's full extent. This means that you will eat less and lose weight. Cleansing using bentonite gives the body more energy because it is no longer weighed down. The immune system can operate much more effectively because it doesn't have to deal with trying to help the body perform to it's full extent at all times. A better-functioning immune system also means less colds, sinus infections, stomach viruses, etc. Many people claim that they feel nauseated for no reason throughout the day. Nausea comes as a result of having leftover fecal matter along the intestinal walls. After performing a bentonite detox, the fecal matter is flushed out. The intestines can absorb all vital nutrients necessary for human function. Acid reflux and indigestion are a common problem amongst individuals with a cluttered digestive system. After a cleanse is done, all digestive problems including gas and bloating are no longer existent. The brain actually operates more functionally as well because the rest of the body is up to speed. Free radicals are removed, lessening the body's chance of developing deadly diseases such as cancer. Although there are several benefits to consuming bentonite, there are also a few warnings. Bentonite contains aluminum, which for some people is not a problem. However, if you have a sensitivity to aluminum, it is best to avoid undergoing a bentonite detox altogether. You should also check with your physician if you are on any medications to make sure the cleanse is safe. Due to it's tendency to absorb nutrients in the digestive system, you should not perform the cleanse for at least an hour before or after eating. Built up fecal matter not only affects the body's digestive system, but the blood stream, the outer look of the skin, the body's cells, etc. Everything is influenced when there is buildup. Your may suffer from blurry vision, frequent infections, dizziness, confusion, insomnia, migraines, and diarrhea. These are not just things that come along with aging. A bentonite detox is performed to help the body return back to normal health. Everyone alive has toxic buildup, just imagine what's happening to your body right now.
