Many people want to know if they can actually lose weight without needing to exercise. People who ask such questions either have some medical condition which prevents them from exercising, or simply are always feeling lazy.
However, my advice to you is simple. You have to love exercising if you really want to lose weight quickly. To lose one pound each week, you will need to consume 500 calories less daily than the amount you are eating right now. If you do not wish to exercise, then you have to cut down quite a fair bit of the amount of food you are taking in. With exercising, you can eat only slightly less, but the exercising will burn away the extra calories you have consumed. Therefore, if you still do not wish to exercise, weight loss is harder, albeit still possible.
First of all, you will need to change your lifestyle. Clear your fridge of sugary snacks, fatty meat, soft drinks and white bread. Instead, try to replace them with fresh fruit and vegetables, brown rice and oily fish such as salmon. Incorporate skimmed or soy milk in your coffee and take low fat cheese versus cheddar. There are many recipes available to prepare tasty meals from the above ingredients.
On top of the above tips, there are also several more things you can do to lose weight without exercise. First of all, you should not skip breakfast; you will only get hungry later and want a snack mid-mo
ing. Drink a glass of water before meals as this will fill you up and make you feel fuller, therefore eating less. Also, do not eat when watching television programs, as you will usually eat a lot more than you expect without knowing it.
A great way of keeping track of your diet is calorie counting. Find out the average number of calories someone of your age and gender should eat per day. It will be to the likes of 2500 calories for a man and 2000 calories for a woman. Jot down what you are eating now, so as to find your present average calorie intake. Then change to your new diet and compare your new calorie intake with your old. Usually, you need to be in a caloric deficit of 500 calories for you to lose weight.
Like I said earlier, weight loss without exercise is possible - it is simply harder.
