It's OK to Feel Bad

You can always count on this cowgirl to tell it to you straight.
Alright, I just have to say it.
The popular personal and spiritual development movement has given us the erroneous expectation that one day we'll get to a place where we never, ever again have to feel bad..... that one day we are beyond and above feelings. That one day we are finished, done, perfect. All we'll hear is angels singing and birds chirping.
That will never happen...nn.... but for different reasons than you perhaps think.
The ability to flow feelings fully turns out to be one of the major keys to your enlightenment.
People who learn to authentically and happily savor and relish all feelings, even the low ones, get very happy and free, very fast.
First the “backlog” of un-felt feelings moves. Then you find yourself living in the now, rather than in the residues of past feelings. That is what Eckhart Tolle means by the power of now. You are feeling what’s happening NOW, not what was happening ten years ago or last week.
Once you’re living in the now, your unresisted low feelings, fully experienced, move on faster. Then you come to feel better than you've ever felt, more of the time.
But you’ll still feel. You’ll feel even more!
Feelings are incredibly valuable information. They're part of your "guidance system." They’re treasure maps to your lost or hidden power, creativity, and genius. nn * Would you take out all the smoke alarms because they hurt your ears?
* Would you tape over the red light on your car's instrument panel?
* Would you smash your compass because it reads that you're headed the wrong way???
Your feelings are your smoke alarm, your red light, your compass, your Instrument Panel reading on where you are headed. Listening to them early prevents the escalated physical problems and manifestations that follow, and allows you to “feel your way” to the places you do want to go.
All feelings are Divine Energy, vibrating at different frequencies. All feelings are good.
Most people label some feelings good and some bad, and this causes a delay in the feeling's movement. Don't resist, try to change, or get rid of the “bad” ones. They need to be understood and listened to. Lower vibrational feelings always precede and foreshadow unwanted events and health problems, and let you know in plenty time to change something.
All along, we've been told that nice spiritual people shouldn't get angry anymore. This has actually become a cap on many people's enlightenment, and a detriment to health and wellbeing.
For example, feeling angry lets you know you're in the lower third of your power on the "altimeter" of your Instrument Panel. That's valuable information. Anger is higher than sadness, and this is also valuable information you need to heed, rather than try to make the feelings go away. If you're sad, let it move fully, and you'll rise higher, perhaps to anger or blame, which is actually an elevation in frequency.
Anger is not bad -- it's a bridge back to your power. But don't hang out there too long. Feel it fully, without the story around it, and you soon rise to anxiety or frustration. Before you know it, you're bored with the problem, and that's also an elevation.
Once you get good at flowing feeling fully, bliss and ecstasy are the natural eventual result of even the lowest feelings flowing fully. They are the highest readings on the Instrument Panel – Divine Energy at very high frequencies, or you could say “high altitude”.
Be willing to feel even your lower feelings - not cover up, ignore, clear, cleanse, or "heal them."
Most people can't read their feelings accurately anymore, after years of conditioning by society. After years of ignoring, resisting, judging, distorting, or misinterpreting them.
You can value and experience ALL feelings as Divine Energy. Your guidance system becomes finely tuned as you use all those Instrument Panel readings to navigate successfully through relationships, life, and all it’s adventures and decisions.
You can learn to flow feelings, and even “surf” them like waves! Once you surf all feelings, and resist none, you’re freer than you can imagine! Your body literally lightens up.
Here's the best news, which may also surprise you. When you are flying in the high altitudes most of the time, even a little tiny dip will feel bad, and it's supposed to! You'll appreciate it, and make adjustments FAST because of it! Then you'll choose to tip the nose up and rise back up to the high altitudes long before unwanted things happen.
When you can accurately read the Instrument Panel of your emotions, things naturally begin to get better in your life -- without working on yourself, without fixing, without endless sessions, seminars, seeking, and struggling.
