Apart from the regular uniforms that students wear, karate belts are also popular that students need to wear.
The karate students are actually known and distinguished for the karate belts that they wear. As in every art or training, karate belts symbolize the level a student reaches in the art form. At every level, you will be rewarded with the proper knowledge that you will earn as you carry on with the training.
In every form, karate belts symbolize the level of a student. Students wear the belts with great love and pride. Belt system in karate has been in use for several decades as in many other martial art training programs. These belts aim to show your own progress at every level.
Similar to the progress of a student in the school or academy, the karate belts show your rank and position. Initially, a student begins with a low rank belt and steps ahead through the more upper ranks. In order to make it to the top position, each and every students needs to work hard. In karate, ranks are termed as ‘kyu’ and it equates to honoring the student.
In order to reach to the top, students need to work hard. If you are willing to do better in this martial arts training, then you have to advance to the higher ranks possible. In actuality, there are several colors of belt available. As per the discipline which you belong and the country you are in also determines the colors of the karate belts.
Originally, all the karate practitioners believed that the color of their belts must be made to change according to time. But, as karate is practiced extensively these days, the belts show the color of bearer. Keep in mind that every belt comes with a meaning. With the corresponding colors, you can find out the meaning. They are same with the kids and adults karate students alike.
Upper Brown- Expert
Black (Highest) Master and Expert
Green- Champion
Blue- Advanced
Yellow- Good
Orange- Less Advanced
White (lowest)- Beginners or Novice
The karate belts are used by the karate training institutions and schools around the world. Apart from the above mentioned colors and their related meanings, there are still several variations in certain academies and schools. There are many schools that do not adapt to wearing these kinds of belts. But, the karate fashion remains and the belts has been a trend and as a student advances, the color of the karate belt also darkens.
For children who are enrolled in different karate training institutions and schools, the same thing is applicable. Sometimes, the kids can achieve belts by taking part in different competitions and also winning them. For the parents and children alike, this is a prize that they get from their hard work.
