Karma is the law of cause and effect. This cause can be set in motion by an individual, a group of individuals, or by the planet as a whole.
The effect can be both “positive” and “negative” depending on the cause we set. So even though most people speak of karma as being “bad karma”, there is also “good karma.”
Karma is the ultimate teacher of lessons. If we set a “negative cause” and experience, as a result, a “negative effect,” we are learning that if want to have positive experiences in life, then we need to set positive causes (by thinking and acting positively).
If we judge, condemn, misuse, take advantage of others, and so forth, then we will be judged, condemned, misused and taken advantage of by others. This is the Golden Rule that Jesus spoke about when he said, “Do unto others what you want others do unto you.” So even “bad” karma is a gift, not a punishment. It is a gift in the sense of teaching us an important lesson we need to learn.
Ideally we learn by grace or the easy way, instead of the hard way or school of hard knocks that forces us in a less gentle way to learn the lessons of life.
The Integrated Ascended Master looks at every situation in life as a gift, blessing and opportunity to learn – never as a punishment. God does not punish His Sons and Daughters. Punishment is a projection of man onto God. It is an illusion of the negative ego mind.
