One of the things you may have noticed as you age is that it seems that there are fewer leisure hours in the day for keeping yourself in shape! As a result, many people start getting out of shape; their waistlines started expanding and has never looked back since.
In fact, there are many methods in which you can make use of to make sure that you get the most out of your work out sessions. This is so that you will be able to get maximal results from making use of a shorter period of work out session!
Most time wasted during work outs is between sets in the weight room. Some people rest two minutes or more after working out on one set. Instead, you should fully optimize all the time you are spending in your exercise sessions. You should set up two different exercises and alte
ate sets with only about 15 to 30 seconds of rest in between. As you are actually working out different muscle groups, your muscles will not feel that they are being over-stressed. By making this small change to your workout routine, you will find that you can complete your entire exercise session in half the time now!
Performing warm up and cool down exercises are very important in your fitness regimen. If you do not perform proper warm up exercises, there is an increased chance that you will injure your muscles when you exercise. If you do not do cool down exercises, your muscles may get cramps or soreness easily. Make sure that you allocate a short period of time to warming up and cooling down; a suitable timing will be less than 5 minutes each.
Each time you start your work out session, you should be absolutely sure what you are going to perform for that particular session. You should not go into the work out and start wondering what exercises you are going to be doing for that day! When you plan your work outs before hand, you will be much more efficient during your exercise regimen!
If you do not have time to even get to the gym, you can actually perform body weight circuit exercises! Squats, push ups and pull ups are great exercises to help you lose fats as well as build up some lean muscle mass! You can structure them back to back, and perform them with little rest in between. This way, your metabolism will be increased, helping you burn more fats and build more lean muscle mass!
