What is Diabetes
Essentially diabetes is a chronic metabolic disorder which does not have any cure in the allopathic system of medicine. Allopathy simply curbs the level of sugar in the blood and as diabetes is a progressive disorder, the dosage of medicine keeps on increasing until the situation becomes very difficult to control. Apart from pills diabetes patients may also have to rely on insulin injections if the level of sugar in the blood is too high. The hormone named insulin is necessary for the body to make use of the glucose produced as a result of digestion of food. In people with diabetes either the production of insulin is not sufficient or it is not used for the conversion of glucose to energy During the process of digestion, all food is converted to glucose and it is important for the body because it provides energy to the body cells to function normally. However, in people with diabetes mellitus, this glucose is not utilized properly by the body and accumulates in the blood. High sugar levels in the blood can damage the blood vessels of vital organs like the heart, kidneys, eyes or the nervous system. If not controlled properly diabetes can cause heart attack, kidney failure glaucoma which is blindness and problems with the nervous system.Causes of diabetes
