As I journal-ed and communed with Spirit this morning, I was reminded of going to my antenatal class before my first baby…
We had a midwife there, explaining about what to expect in childbirth…
And she said to tap into your inner animal when giving birth…
To make the sounds, give into the feelings and movements that came to us naturally as we pushed new life out into the world…
To not hold back…
To be FULLY ANIMAL as that would make childbirth a lot easier to handle…
And though I cannot remember much else about what she said, that piece of advice definitely stuck with me…
And when I went into labour, I became fully animal…
I let go of all need to look pretty, be pretty or sound pretty…
I did not hold back and each birth got easier and easier to handle as I became more and more true to myself…
What has this got to do with you, leader, and your business?
EVERYTHING!
You have to take an idea from inside of you and give birth to it physically or else, it forever remains stuck inside…
It becomes something that hurts you because you hold onto it while it tries to push its way out of you…
That feeling of dissatisfaction comes from that…
You are trying so hard to be civilised and practical and ‘norm’ like…
Instead of giving into your inner animal and unleashing the power within you!
You make your business growth more difficult than it need be because you hold on so tightly to the appearance of civility…
You try to be nice about what you stand for, instead of say what you really think…
Do what you really want to do…
You keep waiting for someone to give you permission to fully be you…
You worry that who you are is too much for people to handle and so you try hard to blend into a sea of norms!
Yes, LEADER, YOU HAVE BEEN TAMED!
Wake up to the power within you!You feel it in your loins…
Male, female, you know you are ready to give birth to something powerful but you hold back…
And the holding back is causing you even more pain than full release of the power within you!
It is HARDER to be this tame version of you than to be the powerful animal/leader you are born to be…
So, why keep holding back?
Why not rip off the band-aid?
And be fully you with no conce for the gentilities of the wimps around you!
Of course, they will be scared of the power of you!
YOU ARE CREATED POWERFUL, after all.Some will hate what you stand for and some will adore you!
That is normal when you truly become the leader you are born to be…
Of course, the difficulty may be that people who used to love the tame version of you may stop liking you and that can hurt but is it a reason to keep living with the pain of unrealised dreams?!
I certainly hope not!
Right now, you are holding something back…
You are holding a LOT OF THINGS back!
And your people cannot feel your authenticity and so they go find some other person to speak into their life…
Some other person to buy stuff from…
You have all these ideas for products, services, ministry, books, art, music but you never let anything REAL out because you have been tamed…
You keep trying to obey the rules but you do not realise that you are the one that has created and accepted all these limits and so, it is your choice to be held back by them…
You tell yourself that you are being sensible…
That it is selfless of you to give up your own ideas, in favour of that of others…
But you are being ‘prey’…
Weak, pliable, TAMED PREY!
And I call you out!
I ask you to get a lot more deliberate about who you choose to be!
I ask you to let your inner animal out!
And stop holding back, trying to be less than who you are created to be!
YOU ARE NOT LESS!
YOU ARE MORE!
YOU ARE POWERFUL!
YOU ARE BORN TO RULE AND REIGN!
YOU ARE BORN TO DOMINATE!
YOU CANNOT BE BROKEN!
So, step up, leader!
STEP UP!
Feel the rush of power within you!
And instead of stifling it, let it out!
BE YOU!The real powerful you…
Not the tamed version…
And let your people come find you…
Let your audience be drawn to your power and your energy…
Be the wild thing you are born to be!
Stop worrying so much about what people think of you…
Or of how you come across…
And instead, boldly show up and tell your people EXACTLY why you are the one to support them in solving their problems…
Tell them things that others would not dare say…
CALL YOUR PEOPLE TO YOU! And SELL THEM SOMETHING!Your business will explode when you stop being tame and instead become the wild thing you are born to be!
Governments, Religious organisations, Schools - All of these things have tried to tame you, to file down your sharp edges, to make you pliable and easy to manipulate…
Stop giving in, leader!
Wake up and be powerful!
Fight for, deliberately design the life you are born to live!
