We live in a society that is addicted to fast, young, beautiful, and me, more, now. We are constantly told that we need to have this gadget, or make up, or job in order to be lovable, and in our constant quest for the quick fix, we really lose sight of ourselves.
It is remarkable that we spent so much time, money, and effort to look youthful and vital, and then condone men who leave their wives for a younger model. It is also tragic to see the vast numbers of young women, and increasingly men, who are electing to have surgery in order to be more.....whatever it is that they are chasing- thinner, more beautiful, younger, bigger breasts, and so on.
The advertisers take no responsibility for the increase in eating disorders, bad debt, or suicides that occur in our society because we are essentially not happy in our own skin. We do need to take absolute responsibility for what we believe, and yet, we are constantly hounded with images and messages that tell us that we are not good enough as we are.
Magazines, movies, adverts, newspapers, and the internet all give us an idea of how we can be if we just change everything about ourselves, and become like whoever they are showing off today as perfect. The biggest issue with this is that we want to look like the latest model, or feel the promise of youth or power, but we fail to take into account the real person behind the face. He/she most likely suffers from insecurity, needs hours to look perfect, and probably longs for love in a different way, and does the job they do in order to be accepted.
What we do not remember is that they are human too, with faults, and issues.
Quite possibly one of the saddest aspects of our society is that so many of us are trying to be someone else, instead of loving what is. No matter how long you spend day dreaming or wishing, if you are five foot four and wanting to become five foot ten, you are wasting your time. If you are desperate to be 20 pounds lighter, and spend all your time wishing to be thin, and eating extra cakes, quite possibly, you need a different kind of help, and are again wasting your time.
Learning to love what is and to make the very best of what you have is one of the hardest lessons that we come here to learn. However, spiritual growth and personal development all concentrate on this one aspect, because without working on this, you can never find peace or happiness.
You have come to this planet, and are exactly where you are supposed to be and who you are supposed to be, warts and all. If you can learn to love the warts, the talents, the challenges and the essence of yourself, then you will be able to feel the love that we are all craving and chasing in our own ways. You are worth it, and you are also already everything that you are looking for.

Hinting is not clear communication
Unfortunately, I hear it often from clients and random conversations with friends and other people that they want to consider a person to be clueless or even stupid because that person did not understand them hinting about an issue. Many people do hint and actually think that people that they are hinting to should be a

Does everything truly happen for a reason?
One of the common spiritual comments made quite often is that everything happens for a reason. I know that people say it to feel better and to not feel like a victim. During my years of being a spiritual life coach and listening to many clients stories, I started to realize that everything that happens does not have
