I was asked, “How can you live your life this way with no money?” I started to laugh. If you have read some of my other articles on my blog you will have pieces of problems that I have dealt with. Some people would call it a dark cloud, others judge you by what society would say as a whole.
Life was a real long and hard journey but the outcome is yet to open up for me.
What many people do not understand is that we are tested everyday. It is not how much money we have, what fancy car we have, how many houses we own or what we want. It is about growing spiritually. Which many of us do not understand when we do not follow our path. That is when the material things in life become important.
I had that dark cloud over my head but I have also had an interesting life. I had that job where I was able to pay my car off in cash and have money left over. I was going to buy a house with a down payment knowing I had more then half the money to pay for a house. I had a great 401K plan where in 2 years from being able to put it into stocks and move it around as I wanted to, I made over $40K.
The nightmare began where I lost my job. I only had myself to worry about at the time it happened. I wanted so bad to have another dog that I had gotten a golden, Gypsy Moon shortly after losing my job. She is a handful but I realized if I had children they would be neurotic. I am way to over protective. It took me a while to adjust and the only one I worry about is my dog and she is happy no matter what.
I was searching for myself. Somewhere along the way I lost my way and myself.
I tried to make sense of things but I did not understand why I couldn’t have the job that paid me good money. I meditated everyday for hours. I started to understand after a time why gurus and monks stay in the mountains.
One day while walking my dog I have gotten answers during walking meditation. I have also developed asthma from the pesticides and the synthetic fertilizer that people started buying to put on their lawns or around their trees. During one of my walks I had a very bad asthma attack and almost died. If it wasn’t for this lady who also had asthma and gave me her pump to use I would’ve been dead.
What I sensed and seen, during the asthma attack, was my dog would be cared for and loved. Everyone from a couple of blocks up loved her. She would be safe. The other thing was my fear? Why?
When I had gotten home and feeling better on our next walk I realized for the first time the reaso
I no longer had my job was because I was getting lost with everyone else in society. I worried to much about money and what I can have. Not realizing that I had everything I needed. So I pondered on that. I had not felt that I had everything I needed, what I should say is wanted.
During meditatio
I was shown that I have friends, love, and food . I was told I have everything I need. There is plenty of food around us and we don’t realize it. That is when I started accepting what has happened.
I have been tested spiritually, I passed some tests and failed others that made me stay stagnant and in the same situations without moving forward. I have been thrown curve balls and handled them extremely well. There are so many surprises around every corner good and bad. What I have learned is take it as it comes and work with what is dealt to me in life. It makes it easier and quicker if you accept it and work with what is thrown at you. If you keep fighting against it your struggles will be hard to overcome.
My last job I have written about was my last test to help me move to my next phase in life. If you follow astrology then you would know that you can use the travel chart to see what states would work well for you. Pennsylvania was a place to heal. I took a job their. What I did not realize is the hell I would be going through. In my entire life I have never ever dealt with people such as the ones I have worked for.
What I realized is I forgave them because I have gotten something so much better out of this experience, it broke my cycle of sameness. Choosing the same people, letting people walk all over me, letting people talk to me in an abusive way. I had enough and pretty much told them off. I told them that they will speak to me in a respectful voice or I will just keep walking away. I also told them many other things, not bad just putting them in their place. They do not think they treat people badly and tell me it’s everyone else and not them. It made me realize this is the same vicious cycle I keep putting myself in with these type of people. It’s time to change.
I left my job with only 2 paychecks left. I had to end up paying for a U-Haul truck which cost over $200. I had help packing and unpacking with friends. I had about $120 left to my name. I only use my car to drive when going on interviews and food shopping. It is going on 2 weeks with no money left today from the day I left.
Let me explain how I test the waters to see if it’s a good place to work when I go to an interview. When you are asked at the interview, “Do you have any questions for me?” Yes Yes Yes. What people do not realize is this question is asked for a reason. Not to find out how much you get paid, benefits or anything else. You are actually supposed to ask Do you like your job and how did you get your position. What I ask is ” What do you like about your job and what do you dislike about your job.” This question will tell you everything you need to know about the people you will work with and how the company is run.
Example:
I went to a Veterinary Hospital for a job. I was still working at the kennel at this time but looking to get out of my situation. The Office Manager has been doing this job for over 14 years and she loved it. She kept talking about her love of doing her job. Dislikes losing an animal, when it gets crazy busy sometimes she ends up doing 50 things at the same time but everyone helps each other. When it gets hectic there are times she needs to take a breather then begin again and everything is good. Everyone helps each other and works as a great team, including the Veterinary Doctors.
Interview 2:
Veterinary clinic, I asked the same question. She has left about 3 times they asked her back and she took the Office manager position. She deals with Human Resources. She said it becomes a headache and too much. These issues arise because many women working together tend to get their menstrual cycle at the same time and they all begi
PMSing at the same time so everyone is always fighting. The Veterinary doctors, a wife and husband, are always fighting all the time especially in front of customers. You also want to stay out of their way or you get stuck in-between the cross fire. Then the other vet doctor is funny and jokes to a point where it’s unethnical. Otherwise it’s a good place to work. I was asked how I would deal with someone who started a fight with me. I almost slipped and said Really?
Interview 3
This was a clinic and would also work for the hospital. This one was interesting. She has been doing Veterinary Technician work for over 18 years. I was told that she knows nothing else and it’s a job because it’s all she knows how to do. She really did not reply to my question with any other feedback. I was asked to go on a working interview. After the working interview she told me that she would like to talk to me about a couple of things and if I felt comfortable. She told me if I had to go to call her in the afte
oon. I called and she was in the middle of an emergency so she asked me to call in the morning the next day. I was put on hold for the longest time. I actually had to hang up because I had another job interview and had gotten to my destination.
I know some companies will have you sit and wait and sometimes put you on hold to see how you react to these situations. In my opinion, I feel if you do something like that your not a place I want to work for it shows many things about who I would be working with which is not positive. People are busy and have things to do and to waste their time on stupid games like that is just not right. I can understand having them in the waiting room to see if they fidget, or pace in order to gage those reactions, it does show a lot about a person. Personally I bring in a book to read till they decide to come and get me. The one thing they do bring up at the interview as an ice breaker is my love for reading.
Back to the interview. At the interview I thought to myself she has no passion. I can’t work for someone who has no passion in my opinion when you have no passion for what you do it is hard to support your team or even build up morale. Then I thought I have no experience it’s a field I want to go into. So I decided to get my experience then move to a different clinic or hospital where I would get paid more for my experience. That is why I went to the working interview. I was sure I was going to get it.
After holding for so long I called her back after my interview. I was told that she was doing some more interviewing this week and she would make her decision at the end of the week. I thanked her and told her to have a good week. I know I didn’t get this position but it does not make me devastated. If I do get it I will be very surprised. This job is always posted every month for hiring someone. Big turnover.
Which job would you choose to work for out of these 3 interviews?
The questio
I ask at interviews is a loaded question, which will tell you a lot about not only the person who will be your boss but about the people you will be working with.
The last job I had, which I left, has helped me learn to rid me of my fear and has me standing up for myself. I am not settling for a job that is not a good environment to be in and to end up being stuck in the same vicious cycle.
Now I have gone through several interviews for Administrative Assistant jobs, File clerk, office assistant, Veterinary Technician and even trucking companies. Jobs that I have experience in and even no experience. In NJ your competing with hundreds of people for 1 job. Our economy is worse and it is very hard to find a job.
I just used my last $20 on gas. My tank is full and I have been stuck at home and can’t go anywhere. I am not afraid because I KNOW everything will be okay.
I found a job working as a Pet Nutrition Consultant at pet stores. I am doing 2 stores. I start this weekend. I also get paid this week from doing my online training. I also have another job that pays me decent money. So what I am trying to say is, I will have money for gas to get to my job for the next 2 weeks when my next paycheck comes in. I will also be able to save. When we get rid of our fear and believe in ourselves everything falls into place.
I have finally realized at the age of 43 what I truly want to do with my life and it is exhilarating. Around October is when things will be turning around for me. Till then I have to take what I can for the next 2 months till things are about to change for the better.
Like the saying goes if life throws you lemons, make lemonade.
My answer to the question that I was asked above was that I cried and cried then I accepted where I was and now am very happy and at peace.

Hinting is not clear communication
Unfortunately, I hear it often from clients and random conversations with friends and other people that they want to consider a person to be clueless or even stupid because that person did not understand them hinting about an issue. Many people do hint and actually think that people that they are hinting to should be a
