As we know that skin is the largest organ of our body. So to take care of it and to keep it healthy is super important. For this we have to adopt a proper lifestyle, healthy diet and there are also some home remedies to take care of your skin. Healthy lifestyle changes and very good care of skin will help to delay the natural aging process prevent many skin problems. In this article I will discuss lifestyle, diet and some home remedies for good skin.
- Stress less: levels of stress play an important role in overall health of our body and also for the appearance of our skin. Taking stress will cause acne breakouts and also leads to wrinkles. Making changes in our lifestyle by reducing stress levels will definitely keep our skin healthy. Stress reducing activities include regular exercises and meditation. Except this you can choose anything which suits you best for your healthy skin.
- Cleanse regularly: Usually every person after a hectic day , gets lazy and go to their bed without proper cleansing our skin. But when you don’t wash your face , you are leaving impurities like bacteria, dust and make on your skin. So best is what , you should make a habit to cleanse your face and maximize your skin health.
- Drink plenty of water: Drinking lots of water and staying properly hydrated not only improves your health but also leaves your skin glowing and radiant.
- Get enough sleep: A normal person needs a 7- 8 hours of sleep a night so that their body functions efficiently. However, many individuals get less than that. And due to this you look tired, skin appears dull. But getting enough sleep will prevent all this.
- Exfoliation: It is an essential step in having a clear complexion. A good scrub will remove the top layer of dead skin cells .
- Adopt balanced diet: whatever you eat it will reflects on your skin and body. You should avoid eating junk and deeply fried food as it leads to several skin problems like acne, pimples etc
- Keep yourself away from bad habits: if you desires a glowing skin then keep your bad habits away. Smoking tobacco, drugs and drinking alcohol leads to serious health issues as well as it affects your skin badly. The smoke contracts the blood vessels and deprives skin from essential nutrients.
- Exercise well: when you exercise . your body receives enough oxygen while you breathe heavily. Indulge youself in brisk exercises which includes walking, jogging, dancing, yoga and cycling.
After all these things, here is something extra to be done for your skin. Here some packs for your skin:
- Oatmeal and cinnamon scrub: this scrub is useful for all types of skin. Take 2 teaspoon of oatmeal and add ½ teaspoon of cinnamon powder. Mix them with milk to make a paste. Apply all over the face and then rinse with warm water.
- Green tea scrub: boil a spoon full of tea leaves in water and then when it leaves color add brown sugar and add some cream to it and mix well. Apply it on your face in circular motion.
- Lemon sugar scrub: sugar helps to remove dead cells and also removes tan. In 2 teaspoon of sugar, add lemon juice. Mix it and then apply on your face.
- Papaya face pack: papaya contains beta hydroxyl acid which acts as a mild exfoliater. Take a ripe papaya , add sandalwood powder then add 1 teaspoon of honey which is a natural moisturizer. Mix them to get a paste and apply it on face. It is also a skin firming and anti ageing pack.
• Orange mask: orange contains citric acid and vitami
C which helps to refresh the skin and relieves the acne. Grind a few pieces of orange peel to form a paste and add some rose water and then mix it properly. Apply it and wash after 15 min with cool water.
By making these few changes in your lifestyle you can look younger longer and protect your skin.
