People who are on a conscious and purposeful path of self-development know the dedication and commitment it takes to evolve in all life aspects.
I've been interested in metaphysics and personal growth for decades, but it wasn't until about two years ago that I finally decided to engage proactively and focus on myself.
A six-year relationship ended in divorce and I was left heart-broken, a single-mom with a part-time job, a house to manage and finance, and two dogs to look after.
I had been asking and praying for a healing of that relationship and knew that it was for the best when it finally dissolved. It was time to honor my needs and nurture myself so that I could be fully capable of caring for my family and home.
Like the Tasmanian devil, I rapidly handled what I needed to in order to move past the separation as quickly as possible and just wait for finalized papers. In about six weeks, I had basically undone a six-year partnership.
Over the next couple of years, I dove head-first into building myself back up. Being a mom and giving selflessly to your children is one thing, but giving and sacrificing for an unbalanced relationship was exhausting and depleting. I was more than happy to spend quality time on myself.
With fierce intent and ambition, I declared to live the best version of myself. When you put this statement out to the universe and grant it free rein to comply, you better be prepared!
So many changes took place and I allowed them. But it wasn't always easy. I knew parts of my physical environment as well as the more subtle mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects needed a complete tune-up. What was no longer serving me had to be released.
I let go of self-sabotaging patterns and habits and really deepened my awareness and appreciation for what I truly valued. My standards had been set low and I accepted that in the past. I knew better now and gained inner strength for believing in my abilities and worthiness.
Immersing myself in practical as well as metaphysical teachings related to concepts like energy clearing, DNA activation, consciousness engineering, and money blueprints, I was fascinated and hooked!
When I wanted to do something, I just did it. I studied everyday and eventually became a certified personal trainer, wellness coach, and holistic life coach. I kept up my nursing license through continuing education. I faced my biggest fears and started to remove the chains from my self-imposed prison.
I networked and created brilliant connections while writing two online self-growth courses. I always enjoyed writing, but when I gave myself permission to be me, I realized I absolutely loved writing! I loved being able to bring information to others that I personally found helpful and rewarding. I wanted to share my experiences and inspire readers with the tools and techniques I've integrated over the years.
The masters of the self-help industry today have all pursued a conscious journey to grow and live authentically. They listened to higher guidance and worked fervently toward their dreams and what they felt called to do. I once heard the saying that when you finally overcome your fears, you are in a better position to help others heal. That resonated for me because I had come to a place of innate knowing and faith that no matter what, things were going to be ok.
If you CHOOSE to live your greatest destiny, understand that the universe will conspire on your behalf. Changes will occur and you will be transformed mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. However, you will have opportunities to discover so much about yourself - your truest desires, your passions, and your evolving purpose.
