Lost and Found Angel
As I opened my eyes and returned from a deep meditation—I noticed the soft breeze on my face. I could hear the gentle lapping of the ocean waves in the distance, as the sun cast a golden glow and sank into the holy hour.
After my friends and I finished meditating, they decided to go for a swim while I lay on the beach. After a few minutes of the small waves splashing over my feet I decided to join my friends in the water. I took off my bathing suit cover up and noticed I was wearing my necklace, which had three gold pendants. I put my necklace on the towel with my hat and cover up over it and dove into the ocean.
Floating in the perfect temperature of water added another level of joy to an already beautiful evening. After swimming and chatting with my friends I decided to leave, as I had a half hour drive home.
I picked up my towel, put on my cover up and hat, went to the chairs where we meditated, picked up my beach bag and left.
When I got home, I unpacked my bag and realized I didn’t have my necklace. When I picked up my things at the beach, I forgot that I had put it on my towel.
I immediately called my friends who were still at the beach. They looked for the necklace but couldn’t find it. One of them had the idea to put up a sign offering a reward.
I tried to be unattached about losing my necklace, but my heart sank. I knew it would be like searching for a needle in a haystack on the beach next to the shoreline. I thought that the sea would wash it away.
I had worn that necklace for over 40 years. One of the pendants was engraved with my family crest and my father gave it to me when I was a teenager. The other pendant was a gold heart. When each grandchild was born, my grandfather gave a charm to my grandmother—heart pendants for the girls and round medallions for the boys.
The fronts of the pendants were engraved with the baby’s initials. On the back was the child’s name and date of birth. When my grandmother died, her grandchildren each received their pendants. The third pendant was a gold medallion that my mother had won in a golf tournament. Obviously, this necklace had great sentimental value for me!
The next day a lady named Laura called to say that she was at the beach and saw the sign. She had a metal detector, but didn’t have it with her. She said that she would go back later and try to find my necklace. When she went back to the beach, she ran into my friends, who showed her approximately where I had been. Lo and behold, Laura found my necklace buried in the sand, and all three of them called to tell me. I was ecstatic!
My sister called that night, and I told her the story. She said a similar thing had happened with her necklace, which was the same as mine. She lost it at her beach club in the sand and she looked for several days but couldn’t find it. She was very upset about it. Three months later, during a sandcastle-building contest, a child found her necklace.
Throughout history jewelry has been known for its healing effects on the body. The ancient Vedic Science of Jyotish—Astrology—recommends specific gemstones according to one’s astrological chart. Gold is known to create a warm, soothing, healing effect on the body. I can’t say I have noticed any healing effects from my necklace, but I do feel uplifted when I wear it.
Even though I knew it was a long shot I had a subtle feeling my necklace would come back to me. Laura was like a “lost and found angel” who appeared out of nowhere with her metal detector. It was another amazing coincidence that she ran into my friends when she went back to the beach to look for my necklace.
I was touched that Laura was so kind and took the time to go back to the beach to look for my necklace. It felt like a miracle that she found it. Laura said she did a Celtic invocation for good measure to help her find it.
With all the negativity going on in the world today, it is such a nice, warm feeling to know that there are people like Laura, who are willing to do something nice for someone they don’t even know. Laura did not ask for any reward but I am sending one to her in appreciation.
I am so happy to have my necklace back and to feel once again the presence of my grandparents, father, and mother when I wear it.Article author

How the Idea of Manifesting is Ruining Your Chances of Success
Manifesting. It's one of those words that people are using a lot thanks to the slew of new books, infomercials, and movies that proclaim that nothing is earned and nothing is worked for, rather things "manifest" in one's life - as long as they "ask" or "think" the right things. Want a car? Visualize it. Think about it. Feel it. And then ... *BAM* ... It will "manifest" in your life. How about a million dollars? No problem! Once again, visualize it and feel it, and then ... *P
