Sex is all over the covers of the magazines. It seems we’ve gotten pretty comfortable talking openly about it in our society.

Obviously, it’s a common need and desire for people to experience this physical activity. In fact, on Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs, sex is listed twice...

First he includes it in our basic physiological needs, right after breathing, food and water.

Second, he lists “sexual intimacy” on the third level of need fulfillment, Love/Belonging, along with family and friendship.

Sex and Intimacy

This is a very interesting distinction. Maslow acknowledges that sex is a physical human need. (We are animals, after all.)

Then he recognizes that we need sexual intimacy, which is more than just the physical act of having sex.

The magazines seem pretty focused on teaching us how to look and dress to attract sexual partners. Then they go into explicit detail about how we can please each other better before, during and after sex.

But from my perspective, they are blatantly overlooking the most crucial element of having the best sex ever: Love.

Love and the Best Sex Ever

If you’ve ever had the pleasure of truly making Love, I think you’ll agree. Sex is so much better when you are in Love with the person you’re having sex with.

Why?

Because the wonderful attributes of Love are present in your physical experience. There is thoughtful kindness in every touch. There is a deep respect, and even awe of each person’s magnificent body and Sacred Being.

You recognize one another as the Divine Creatures that you truly are. And, because you are more comfortable when you know someone Loves you, you are more confident and relaxed.

This creates the perfect environment for pleasure. You can be fully engaged with your partner and open to trying all kinds of things that may prove to be incredibly fun!

As an added bonus, being in Love leads to trust and commitment. Making Love to someone who is your long-term partner gives you the opportunity to share intimacy on a whole new level.

Find Love, Have Great Sex

So make sure the magazines don’t distract you from the real prize.

Take care of yourself with the intention of attracting someone who Loves you for who you are.

You look good because you feel good. You know you are worthy of Love and devotion. You make a desirable mate because you are healthy and full of Love to give.

You can also enjoy the other amazing benefits of Love. True romance includes a lot more than just sex.

Expect wonderful surprises of mystery dates, flowers and your favorite things.

If you’re with a Loving partner, show them great appreciation and offer sexual intimacy often.

If you’re out there looking for your dream mate, stick with it.

Don’t settle for anyone who doesn’t Love you as you rightly deserve.

Science is, at its core, a process—a framework for testing questions about the world with detailed and structured observations of it to gain knowledge and understanding. Contrary to what some may believe, the scientific process has always been a universal one, accessible to the common people, even if the largest and most newsworthy discoveries are usually left to those with greater time and resources. However, with modern technologies like AI, that reality is primed for rad
