Do you ever feel isolated in your home based coaching business?
Would you like a situation which will energize you, and raise the bar on your own business as well as others?
I strongly suggest you find yourself a Mastermind group.
I have been in many myself, both live and virtual and they are both fantastic ways of taking your business to the next level and being connected with other people.
Napoleon Hill is the author of Think and Grow Rich, written in 1937. He started the first Mastermind group in history. He had some pretty successful men in his group including Thomas Edison, Andrew Carnegie, and Henry Ford to name a few.
Mr. Hill stated, back in the 1920's, that a Mastermind is "The coordination of knowledge and effort of two or more people, who work toward a definite purpose, in the spirit of harmony."
In a mastermind group there is no set agenda. It is only what each person brings to the table. Whether live or virtual the format is generally the same. Each person gets an opportunity to talk about their business situation and get feedback from the other members.
The brainstorming and idea sharing is phenomenal and there is also a good amount of accountability that goes along with that. You will see great strides in your business as well as your confidence as a business owner. Who doesn't want that?
When you are looking for a Mastermind group to get involved with be sure that the group has similar interests as well as experiences and skill levels. The groups I have been involved with are all women business owners.
You also want to be sure this group is really passionate about their work as well as their life. You will get to know these people very well and the relationships that are formed are ever lasting. The goal is to help each other build businesses (or whatever your group is about) to beyond what you might ever be able to do all by yourself in front of your computer.
If you are joining a group, be sure that you and everyone else are willing to make the commitment. There is a commitment to show up to every meeting consistently as well as being able to give support and ideas and to ask for help.
If you cannot find a group, you might want to consider starting your own. I would suggest anywhere from 5-8 people for your group.
You may want an application form or at least a very good sense of what kind of people you would like in your group. When adding new members it is very important that all of the current members want this new person to join. I suggest you might invite interested people to one or two of your meetings to make sure its fit for your group and for them. Someone who doesn't quite fit, for whatever reason, is very difficult for everyone and a detriment to the group process.
Masterminds are fantastic in so many ways. I encourage you to see what you can find or start your own. It will be well worth the time and energy you put into it. You will get far more back than you can imagine.
Action Step: If Masterminding is something that is of interest to you ask and look around and see what's out there. There may be groups locally where you live. If not or you prefer virtual start putting the word out to your colleagues that you are interested in joining one. If that doesn't work, then start your own!! Enjoy the process!

Be Honest. How Much Money Will You Have to Retire On When You Stop Working?
I wonder how many of you even know. I'll bet a lot of you don't know. Or you kind of know but not really. It's vitally important for you to know. For some of you, if you have a more 'elaborate' retirement planned (lots of travel etc) you will need more than someone who has very simple wants and desires. There certainly is no right way but you need to know your truth. One of the lucky things about being a woman is you generally live longer than men. Wonderful!! But you will need more money.

Is there ever a bad time? I don't think so. And I also believe that if you ramp up your business your life will change and if you ramp up your life, your business with change. I really don't believe you can separate the two but for now I want to focus on your business.

How important is an Ethical Will to Boomer Women? Very.
Ethical Wills have been around for many generations but seem to be regaining their strength. That may be simply because many of you are getting to the stage in life where you begin thinking about what you are passing along to your children or other loved ones. Another term for Ethical Wills might be a “Values and Vision Statement.” In a nutshell, it is a tool for passing your memories, values and traditions to your loved ones and future generations. Keep in mind that an Ethical Will is not a legal document.
