The power of the mind is a truly remarkable thing.nnHow you feel in any given moment is linked to:nn- What you are focussing onn- The way that you are moving and using your bodyn- The language you are usingnnYour mind controls all three!nnIf you are feeling lethargic or need an instant confidence/energy boost just remember that you can change the way that you feel by changing the above 3 points.nn1. What you are focussing onnnBe aware of what you are focussing on in that very moment.nnAre they negative and lethargic thoughts?nnLow in confidence?nnYou might fail?nnI bet you are saying to yourself that you feel low in energy!nnWhat would you have to focus on to feel vibrant and full of energy?nnWhat would you have to focus on to FEEL confident?nnIf you could feel vibrant and energised right now, what you be thinking about?nnn2. The way that you are moving and using your bodynnThis is also called your physiology.nnEmotion is created by motion. nnThe fewer movements you make the less energy you will have!nnAnd also the type of movements that you make will have an impact on whether you feel juiced up or whether you want to get back into that bed!nnWhen you are feeling low in confidence notice how you are moving your body.nnAre you sat down?nnIs your head up or down?nnAre your shoulders back or slouched?nnAre you walking slow or quick?nnAre you moving your facial muscles?nWhat are you doing with your hands?nnAre you moving the way a person with confidence moves?nnWrite down below all the characteristics of a confident person. If you saw one right now how would they be moving their body?nnnnnWant to feel energised and confident?nnCopy the movements that you have written above when you are feeling low and YOU WILL become confident!nnn3 The language that you are usingnnnThe words that you say to yourself in your mind and out aloud will have an impact on how you are feeling.nnWhat words do you use to describe negative emotions?nnDo you use:nn“I’m feeling tired”n“I’m stupid”n“I’m angry”n“I’m livid”n“I’m overwhelmed”n“I’m feeling insecure”n“I’m depressed”nnnnnWrite down some more of the common phrases that you use like those above:nnnnThe intensity of those negative sayings will have an effect on how you feel and whether you feel confident or not.nnJust imagine that instead of saying –nn“I’m really nervous”nnYou said to yourself –nn“I’m really excited”nnDo you think it would make you feel better?nnOf course it would. The feelings and emotions linked to nervousness and excitement are actually the same.nnSo, what other words could you replace the negative sayings with:nnTry swapping :nn“I’m feeling tired” to “I’m feeling unresourceful”n“I’m stupid” to “I’m learning”n“I’m angry” to “I’m a little annoyed”n“I’m livid” to “I’m a little miffed”n“I’m overwhelmed” to “I’m feeling busy”n“I’m feeling insecure” to “I’m questioning”n“I’m depressed” to “I’m feeling I’m not on top of things”nnnWhen you lower the intensity of the words and phrase you lower the intensity of the feeling.nnnnnWrite down 5 old negative sayings or phrases that you say on a consistent basis and replace them with new empowering and less intensified ones:nnOLD NEGATIVE PHRASESnn1.nn2.nn3.nn4.nn5.nnnnNEW EMPOWERING/LOW INTENSITY PHRASESnn1.nn2.nn3.nn4.nn5.nnHow to feel magnificent and confident every single day!nnWe have talked about how changing the vocabulary you use have an impact on how you feel.nnLower the intensity, lower the feeling when you use negative words.nnThe opposite can be said when you want to feel great.nnIncrease the intensity, increase the feeling when you use positive/good words.nnWhat do I mean by this?nnWell, instead of saying –nn“I feel good”nnsay nn“I feel fantastic!”nHere are some more – nnChange:nn“I feel ok” to “I feel awesome”n“I feel motivated” to “I am driven”n“I feel confident” to “I feel unstoppable”n“I feel energised” to “I feel juiced”nnWrite down some of the “good” words that you have been using in the past and replace them with “magnificent” words that you will use in the future.nnWhen you start to use this the impact will be AWESOME!nnnOLD “GOOD” PHRASESnn1.nn2.nn3.nn4.nn5.nnnnNEW “MAGNIFICENT” PHRASESnn1.nn2.nn3.nn4.nn5. n
