If you’re not too old fashioned, you must have heard about the semi-permanent eyebrow tattoo like microblading. They aren’t the typical eyebrows gifted to you by your grandma. They are perfectly stroked, super fine and thick eyebrows that look natural. They aren’t anything that your grandma had done for you. With time, the process of microblading is becoming popular and throwing the shade upon the previous techniques of microshading and microfeathering. These two earlier techniques help you get the eyebrows of your choice. The difference is mentioned hereby. Microblading Who should try it? People who want natural looking shaped eyebrows should try it What is microblading? Microblading refers to the process of inserting pigment into your skin with a super-fine pen having about a bundle of 12-15 needles. The tip of these pens is fine enough to make up hair strokes which look natural. The needles, however, touch only the upper layers of the skin. It is for this reason that they are semi-permanent and slightly different from traditional cosmetic tattoos. Each of these strokes appears to be like a paper cut. This may hurt a little, as it will numb up the region. Betsy Shuki said that the process of microblading offers for a more natural look when compared to other processes. She is the makeup and brow expert who provides microblading service in NYC office of plastic surgeons Scott Wells, MD. What is their lasting period? Microblading requires going in for a touch-up every month. The cost is however included in the initial fees. Because of touch-ups, the microblading can last from a time span of one to three years, depending on your lifestyle. Nevertheless, you can expand it as well by avoiding the sun as it will make the pigment fade away, keep exfoliants away from your brows. The usage of exfoliants would remove the superficial layers of the skin along with pigmentation. Microfeathering Who should try it? People who want to make their eyebrows a little filled up. What is microfeathering? Microfeathering is a kind of microblading and was found by the eyebrow artists of the stars, Kristie Streicher. She is well known because of her feathered brow. The feathered brows look natural and fluffy without even the use of needles. It is quite the same but with pigment usage. Similar to microblading, she uses the blade to make small incisions. Streicher said that the pigments are inserted into the incisions which makes the eye-brows hairs look exceptionally hoof. In microblading, most of the brows are created, however, in microfeathering, the existing brows are used as a base. Then, the brows are filled up. What is the period of lasting? Microfeathering doesn’t stays as long as microblading. The reason for this was that the pigmented strokes look better and natural as stated by Streicher. Usually, microfeathering can last from 8-12 months depending on various factors such as age, skin care routine and skin type. Oily skins cannot hold the pigments for long.rnMicroshading Who should try it? People looking for better-done eyebrows should try microshading. What is microshading? If you consider microblading to be painting and microfeathering to be sketching, microshading would be similar to impressionist getting a blade. According to Shuki, microshading is done either using an electric tool or manual tool which forms the soft powder impact similar to eyebrow powder. Rather than hair strokes like microblading and microfeathering, microshading opts for strippling process which requires continuous pigment dots. They are the similar to pomade or powder like microblading’s pencil strokes although semi-permanent. The total brow looks like that of the models in Instagram. What is the lasting period? Microshading lasts as long as microblading. After the first touch-up, you would need at least a period of a year before you visit your brow artist.rnUndoubtedly, the process of microblading is gaining immense popularity day by day. Several makeup artists can help you shape up your brows. If you are looking to get your brows done, you can try Avant Microblading Atlanta for sure.
