MLM Prospecting, the key to recruiting, is essential for the development of your MLM business. Understanding your prospect can significantly enable you to convert them into new recruits. As a result in this four part article series, I am discussing each of the 4 personality types and explaining ways to quickly identify and effectively prospect them.
In this article, We're going over the second type of personality:
The Ice Personality
A word of caution! Before you start mlm prospecting any Ice personality, you need to appreciate they are VERY left-brained. Which means that you must have your facts straight and all your ducks in a row!
Around 15% of the population is comprised of these folks. They have got an insatiable necessity for FACTS. Plus they have a strong desire to know and to be right. They will want to be educated on possibly the most miniscule details. For that reason, remember, although the details may not jazz you up, it will them! To these personality types, things must be perfect, I mean the stars need to be in-line, wolves howling at the same octave, knickers folded in thirds after that halved, etc!
People that are Ice Personalities are usually critical of others and they have a tendency to procrastinate. That being said, let them have the time they will need to make a decision and even more importantly know where you can send them to find the information they have to have for their detailed questions!
A few of their natural strengths are being very organized, having great planning skills, and usually being incredibly neat.
So, what might you talk about when prospecting these types of folks?
You want to talk about the company's strong, foundational leadership. Talk about where the founders gained their experience. Talk about the vision for the company. You want to tell them about how the timing of your product or niche is right for the times and how it impacts people's lives on a daily basis. You might also want to talk about the company's expansion plans in the future.
What you want to do is give them the facts that they ask for and nothing more. Remember, you are their point of contact but you want to use your resources wisely. You can send them for the detailed information they are wanting on your website or a live call. Your mlm prospecting mission is to qualify them for your business not convince them and by all means do not spend all day with the Ice personalities because you will never get off the phone!
That wraps up the second article out of the 4 personality types that you will be prospecting for your mlm business. Jot some of the points I made down, keep them by your desk and study them, because I promise a few of those that you call or that call you will be one of these personality types.
