The sun comes out from behind the cloud and the warming rays fall across your shoulders. Mmmm.

In the garden you select a newly opened rose and inhale its spicy sweetness while gazing at the perfect velvety petals unfurling. Beautiful!

Standing at the beach you hear the crashing roar of the waves and the distant call of the seabirds as you breathe in the fresh salty sea air. You scrunch your toes in the warm sand, listening to the hiss of the pebbles as the waves draw back. Nirvana.

After finally reaching the summit on the dusty trail, hot and sweaty, you savor each amazing segment of a juicy sweet orange and the ice cold glacial water from the tumbling mountain stream. Oh yeah.

You feel the soft breathing and gentle weight of the sleeping child in your arms, safe, warm and trusting. Sweet.

The camp fire smoke and the sounds of gentle conversation and laughter swirl together in the crisp fall air as they float upward toward the unbelievably starry night sky. Fabulous.

As you fall back onto your cozy bed, you take a giant breath and sigh it out while stretching your whole body into relaxation before you drift off to sleep.

All is well!

In these Moments you believe it and feel it with your entire being. No one needs to tell you because your whole body knows it. The very essence of you, the Goddess in you, the soul of you, knows it too.

All of the worries, all of the concerns of the day; the traffic, the deadlines, the outer and inner pressures to Perform, Produce, Pretend; the myriad of tiny irritations and nagging thoughts are gone in these Moments and All IS Well.

These are the times that soften the struggle of our every day lives. They sweeten the bitter taste of our negative focus and uplift and nourish us. We are stronger. We are revived and healed when we make the time to enjoy Moments like these.

When we can learn to care for ourselves as well as we care for others, we not only enrich our own quality of life; we enhance the joy of everyone around us. We become shining examples of strong, centered, happy women; ready to do our part in the world with positive focus, clarity and grace.

We don’t all need to be fiery crusaders or super women. We don’t need to tear down the old or remake the world to have happier, saner lives. We can be better mommies, better partners, better women.

How?

Let’s remember to make some time to nourish ourselves. Let’s make it a priority to relax for a bit during each day. Let’s look deep inside and feel the calm of our peaceful centers. Let’s discover and cultivate the beauty of our own individuality. Let’s remember to look around and appreciate the gifts that are so abundant in our lives.

If we focus on all of the joyful thoughts that make us feel like the divine Goddesses that we really are, the world indeed, will be a better place.

Take a Break! Take a Walk! Take a Bath!
