This is a blog I posted in December 08. I still love sharing it...

Hi everyone! I have a personal story that I want to share with you all. I hope it inspires you and contributes to your belief in conscious creation and the magic that we truly manifest.

Over the summer, my graphic design business started to dwindle. I could barely afford my rent and started to resent giving my landlord all of my money. Despite my best efforts to gather more customers, I couldn’t, so I decided to get a job. I worked for a media company for about six weeks and then they closed their doors and filed bankruptcy. I had not been paid for a month’s time, believing all would be well, somehow. It felt like the financial faucet had been turned off! I was in big trouble.

I thought it was time to downsize. I had a hard time accepting the whole “downsize” notion because in my mind, I feared that I was talking myself into a poverty consciousness… that I don’t deserve a nice, big house, that I’m destined for smallness. When in fact, I kept repeating to myself, “okay, I’ll downsize, but I really deserve to live in a mansion.”

I decided to give my landlady notice and move out. I didn’t have any money to move with, but I didn’t want to owe her another $1500. Breaking my lease, I offered to help rent out my house. I found tenants immediately and they were all set to move in within two weeks time.

Great. I’ve got my place rented out, but I had no where to go and no money to get there with. I had visions of homeless shelters and thought of clever ways to continue my work. After all, I only require my laptop and wi-fi. I wasn’t happy with my situation, but believed that The Universe has a different plan for me. "Okay," I thought. "I’ll roll with it, even though I am scared out of my mind, I’ll roll with it."

About two days after accepting my fate and feeling pretty darn dejected, I found a live Internet radio show, where this guy was talking about “Commanding Wealth” and the “One Command” created by Asara Lovejoy. His name is Kyle Curry. What he was teaching sounded overly simple, but I tried it anyway. I said to myself, “I don’t know how I’m moving into the perfect home for my son and I, I only know that I am. I don’t know how I’ll have the money to do so, I only know that I do now and I am grateful.”

The next day, I got a call from one of my web design clients whose project I was working on while employed by the now extinct media company. He offered me a full time job to finish his website to provide him with Internet marketing services. I started the next day and he paid me my first weeks’ earnings in advance.

That weekend, I drove up and down the streets where I wanted to live. I had to be moved by Monday. I found a basement apartment that was one third the cost of my former home, so even though I wasn’t thrilled at the prospect of living in a basement, I laid down the deposit and moved in that weekend, which was much better that moving into a homeless shelter!

It’s been two weeks now and my basement apartment has truly grown on me. Its charm, exposed brick walls and funkiness is a part of me now. Last night I was mentally decorating my apartment, taking window measurements and planning my trip to Home Depot.

This morning, I got a call from the owner. Apparently the couple living in the third floor apartment are moving overseas in January. She offered me their apartment along with the paid position of managing the property… keeping the foyer clean, removing snow, gardening, making the property pretty… fun stuff. I took a look at the place today, and it is a wonderland - furnished Zen style, peaceful, light, colorful and magical. The couple are leaving the furnishings for me.

O, did I mention that the property is a beautiful, historic mansion located in the heart of the city in my favorite Denver neighborhood?

Ya, I got the mansion. Unbelievable. No, scratch that. Completely believable.

My cup runneth over and I am grateful!

Happy Holidays, everyone!

For years I have had a recurring fantasy; winning hundreds of millions of dollars in the lottery. How would my life change? What could I do where money would not be a concern? Where would I travel that I have yet to visit? What toys would I buy? And on and on. A few days ago I had a shift in my thinking. As I drove by a billboard on the side of the freeway indicating what the jackpot is this week, it occurred to me that many people who win the lottery actually end up with numerous problems that didn't exist prior to winning.
