My Thoughts on Hidradenitis

Recently I was asked if I knew about a condition known as Hidradenitis. In order to assist this person and anybody else with the condition, I will share it on my blog.
Hidradenitis suppurativa causes a deep skin infection that starts in a hair follicle or oil gland. It is non-contagious and recurrent. Typically the dis-ease will manifest as a progression from single boil-like, pus-filled abscesses, or hard sebaceous lumps, to painful and often inflamed clusters of lesions with chronic seepage involving significant scarring. HS is an inflammatory skin disease that affects an estimated 1% of the population. The most commonly affected areas are under the arms, groin, buttocks, and under the breasts.
HS often starts at puberty with a single but painful bump. For some, the condition will worsen and affect multiple areas of the body. Others will experience mild symptoms. It is believed that excess weight, stress, hormonal changes, heat or excessive perspiration can worsen symptoms.
The dis-ease is devastating to the afflicted individual and often will lead to psychological and emotional behavioral changes. In many cases, a SSRI (Selective Serotonin Re-Uptake Inhibitor) may be prescribed to assist with the emotional swings associated with the condition. It is the humble opinion of this author, that this is not the method of choice when dealing with this situation.
Now, as a Nature-O-Path, not a doctor, I am not allowed to diagnose, treat or cure. What I can do is make recommendations based on my years of research as a medical researcher. That being said, I tend to disagree with the allopathic physician who will often times prescribe a synthetic drugs and or surgery.
My recommendation would be to seek the root cause of the condition. Since hormonal changes can worsen the condition, my suggestion would be to do a saliva hormone panel to ascertain if hormones are out of balance. If indeed they are, then an individualized program of Bio-identical hormone therapy would be recommended. Balancing hormones will also assist in weight gain management, and excessive perspiration. For details on Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy, please refer to the link below:

My second recommendation would be to attack the bacteria that are causing the pus filled nodules/bumps. Again, being a naturalist, I am a firm believe
that Rejuvenis OSH silver applied topically will immediately begin to denature the bacteria and relieve inflammation, surface pressure, pain and discomfort. Additionally, another important fact to mention is that 90% of skin dis-ease begins in the gut. Knowing this, it is recommended to take Rejuvenis OSH silver coupled with Aloe Vera Juice four times a day on an empty stomach. Now bear in mind, the Rejuvenis OSH Silver is all natural and has no side effects. The purpose of taking it internally is to rid the intestines of the “Bad” bacteria. Along with the bad, some “good” bacteria (flora) will be removed as well. We also recommend to our clients to include taking Rejuvenis Probiotics, prior to bed time and upon awakening so that the proper balance of gut bacteria is maintained by replenishing the healthy intestinal flora.
For those of you who like to read and research, I am attaching informational links for the Rejuvenis OSH Silver and Rejuvenis Probiotics.

Should You Get a Routine Mammogram If There's No Cancer in Your Family?
“Just a waste of my time,” I remember thinking while waiting my turn for a mammogram in Dr. Ira Berger’s office. I had brought my briefcase and had work spread on my lap, but spending time driving the 97-mile round trip from my home office to the radiologist’s was an unproductive part of my day. It was 1992 and I had been getting annual mammograms for more than 10 years – ever since I turned 45. But I felt I had better things to do with my time, especially since no one in my family had ever had breast cancer, or cancer of any kind.

A Birthday Often Prompts, "How Old Are You?"
Ah, November. It’s the month when winter gets serious, delighting skiers and little kids. It’s the time to put the thick, groovy, grab-the-road tires on my car and it’s when I celebrate my magical day! Nov. 18th is my birthday. That day I’ll get to blow out some candles and grin from ear to ear while my family sings to me. Then I’ll read aloud their hilarious birthday cards while they laugh so hard they have to hold their tummies, and happy tears squeeze from the corners of their eyes. Yes, November 18 is the magical day I was bo 74 years ago.
