Since hair loss can be traumatic and can have consequences for a person's sense of self esteem, their social functioning and even their professional life to an extent, it is enticing to try out any so called Natural Hair loss treatment. The reasons for opting for a natural hair loss remedy are many: it is safer to use and has few if any side effects. There are so many out there who claim to offer you the solution for how to cure hair loss, claiming their remedy to be 'safe' or 'natural' or 'herbal' that one is seduced by the idea of having an effective alternative to mainstream pharmaceutical solutions for hair loss. However it is a mistake to think that every product that labels itself a 'natural hair loss remedy' is really natural or effective or even safe. Let us look at some ways how to cure hair loss and their efficacy: Lifestyle changes – Unhealthy diets, sedentary lifestyles, stress and environmental toxins are thought to contribute to hair loss. Having healthy, nutrient rich food that places more reliance on fresh fruit and vegetables and less on processed foods and increasing activity levels can improve overall health and immunity and hence can also help to control hair loss. rnCutting down on caffeinated and sweetened beverages and drinking more water can also be a useful lifestyle changes to make. Lowering one’s reliance on chemical cleaning products and products of personal hygiene that use a lot of artificial ingredients can also help combating hair loss. rnMaking lifestyle alterations to lower stress can be a significant way to arrest hair loss. Aromatherapy – Aromatherapy is known to lower stress and increase wellbeing. It has also shown positive results in arresting some instances of hair loss. In particular aroma therapy treatments involving lavender, rosemary and cedar wood essential oils can show positive results. Hypnosis – Hypnosis is also able to effectively control stress and anxiety, one of the root causes of hair loss. Research has shown that people whose hair loss did not respond to conventional treatment showed improvement after use of hypnosis. Biotin – This is another natural hair loss treatment that claims to stop hair loss, but on which research is seen to be inconclusive. However there is some evidence to show that this may be a useful remedy for children with alopecia areata. Massage – Massage that a person performs on their own scalp or which is done by professionals can help to stimulate the hair follicles. Massage can help to improve supply of blood to the scalp and hence may help to stimulate growth of hair. To see how effective any natural hair loss treatment will be, it is important to determine what kind of hair loss one has and the underlying reason for that hair loss. While some types of hair loss will respond to natural hair loss remedies, others may not. So don’t place too much reliance on the tall claims made by manufacturers. Rather do your research about remedies and their safety as well as efficacy and then help to bolster hair growth by getting as healthy as you can.
