Nine Principals For Becoming A Success
Written by Monique Schlosser
1. Don't Procrastinate
Don't wait until everything is perfect to become a success. In other words don't spend all you time answering emails, tidying up your desk, etc. Take action. Do the tasks that will help you to succeed.
If you are procrastinating, ask yourself why? It usually means you don't really want to do it or you would.
2. Do It Now
Taking the first step is the hardest. Be truthful to yourself. Are you really committed to your success? If you are, do it now! Take the first step towards your future.
3. Stand On Your Own Two Feet
Don't depend on someone else for you success. One of the hardest things I had to learn was to not use my friend as a crutch. Crutches can be excuses as well as to why you can't do something or move forward. Be brave! Have the courage to stand on your own two feet and when you do you will be so proud of yourself.
4. Do Not Fear Failure
Failure is a good thing. It means you are trying. Every failure is a dress rehearsal for success. Learn from you mistakes and then focus on your success.
"I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead."
5. Do Not Sell Yourself Cheaply
For we are God’s masterpiece. You are worth exactly what you think you are worth. Recognize that you are a child of God and that He has given you very special gifts for health, wealth, love, joy, peace, success, and prosperity.
6. Develop The Success Habit Of Being Goal Oriented
Set goals. Your goals don't have to be all big goals. Set little goals as well and when you start to achieve them you will be more inclined to set big goals. Write a list of your top 10 goals and email them to someone you trust who will hold you accountable. This works. Why don't you give it a try.
7. Visualize Your Goals and Believe You Can Achieve Them
Close your eyes and sit quietly and think about your goals. Visualize what your life would be like if you reached your goals. Write down what you see. Believe in your mind that you will achieve your goals.
"Anything is possible if a person believes."
8. Plan Your Work, and Work Your Plan
Write down each and every action that needs to be done in order for you to reach your goals. Start with your list of your top ten goals. It often helps if you work it backwards. Break your goal down to months, then days. It is easier to eat a elephant one bit at a time. All at once it's a bit overwhelming.
9. DO NOT QUIT
To quit means you don't believe in yourself.
"Winners never quit, and quitters never win."
When you get to the end of your rope,
tie a knot and hang on.
Be prepared to do whatever it takes,
for as long as it takes.
