***Nothing Is Permanent In This World, Not Even Our Troubles***

There are few things in this life that are permanent, and thank goodness that our troubles fit nicely into that category. You have all heard the old saying that “nothing lasts forever” and as far as I know it is most definitely true. Some things have a tendency to wear the test of time better than others, however very few things in this world are permanent.
When you are riding high on the crest of a wave, you should take the time to revel in every single minute of it, because sooner or later that wave will come crashing down. I don't say this to be some sort of “doom-peddler or naysayer” far from it, I say this so that you can make the very best out of every good situation that you find yourself in.
When you find yourself in a bad situation, and trouble seems to be everywhere you look, and nothing seems to be going the way that you planned it, you must remember that nothing is permanent in this world, not even our troubles, we all have down days, days when we don't feel like ourselves, days when we seem to be facing an uphill struggle from the moment we wake up, to the moment we retire to our waiting bed, days when we are surrounded by problem after problem.
It is on theses days especially that you need to remember that nothing in this life is permanent, not even our troubles. Make the most of the good days that you have, and realise that the bad days in life, are the shadows that the good days have left behind.
I would like to leave you with a short story that will make this point far better tha
I can.
In ancient Persia there was a King who had tremendous wealth, wealth beyond your wildest dreams. Even with all of this wealth the King was not happy in his life, one day out of sheer boredom, he assembled all the wise men from his kingdom and gave them a task that they had to complete or else they would all be put to death.
He told them that he wanted them to make him a ring, but no ordinary ring, the ring must be able to make him happy whenever he was sad, and make him sad whenever he was happy.
The wise men thought that they had been given an impossible task, how can a ring make you happy when you are sad, and sad when you are happy, they asked themselves.
Finally after much deliberation they returned to the king with the ring. The wisest of all the wise men brought the ring over to the King for his inspection. It was a simple gold ring without any outside embellishment at all, the king picked up the ring, and after close inspection he thanked the wise men for creating a ring that would make him happy whenever he was sad, and sad whenever he was happy.
The simple ring was inscribed with these words: “And this too shall pass”.
