Nowadays it is very popular to play computer games. We can not imagine our life without computer and games give us a lot of fun. Current young generation can not imagine their life without computer games. Multiplayer online games (MMORPG) are the most popular. Many of my friends have experience in playing MMO. World of Warcraft, RIFT, Lineage and other games are very attractive and popular. Elder Scrolls Online is in progress now. The developers of these games make all their best to attract new players and make them play. Well, these games are realy interesting but very often they take too much time from people. I have such a bad experience. Once I started playing a very famous MMO and it was so interesting that I could spent 3-4 hours a day playing the game. It was not very good and I decided to give it up. It was a right decision. I thought: “What benefits can I get playing this game a lot?” – “Nothing” I was spending a lot of time instead of going to gym or doing something beneficial. I could spend this wasted time learning something new in business or developing a new project. It was a good lesson for me. It was not easy to give up playing because it was like an addict. But I could do it because I have strong will. If you wish to start playing MMO game you should understand that it will be better for you to spend about 1 hour a day playing it. If you see that you are addicted – give it up. Why people play MMORPG games? These games are like simulators of your life. Your character represents you and you can communicate and interact with other players. It is a society with its heroes and losers. MMO games are attractive because everyone can easily achieve great results and become cool person there. Players think that it is great to have a strong character with coolest weapons. It is cool to sneak around and fight against others. It is easy to be cool in the game. Many gamers think that if they are cool in a game they are also cool in real life. But most cool character owners are weak persons. Most of top gamers can not do 10 pull ups. Are they really cool? I think no. I can do 40 pull ups and I am proud of it. I like training in the gym and it is really cool. I spend my time effectively and I develop myself, not my game character. Note, I do not think that professional gamers are losers. If you do something professionally you do a good job. Someone makes money participating in tou aments and other gaming events. It is normal. Everyone has its own profession. How to play online games without bad aftermath? Restrict your gaming activity and do not forget about real life. Train your body and your mind. It is really important in your real life. Your 80th level character will not help you when you need to solve problems in real life. Gaming is interesting but it should not take all your life.
