Here are 3 tips for website link building in forums:
1. Do not spam. Spam is flooding the Internet with many copies of the same message, in an attempt to force the message on people who would not otherwise choose to receive it. Most spam is commercial advertising, often for dubious products, get-rich-quick schemes, or quasi-legal services. In forums "spamming" is coming into a forum and posting a comment to "click on my link" or something quick like "great point". The purpose of posting such short messages is that it gets your "signature file" seen by other who could click the link. Some "spammers" even go as far as posting their website in the forum. This is silly and a waste of time as it will be deleted by moderators. It is much better to engage in the discussion and offer some valuable information. people would more than likely see your link and visit your website.
2. Does forum get traffic? The first thing you should do is go to Google and search for "list of affiliate marketing forums" or whatever niche your business is about. Find relevant forums first that receive a lot of traffic. If they are ranked high in Google they are bound to get a good amount of traffic which will help your overall website link building in forums.
3. Fill out the forum's profile information. Every forum you visit when you sign up there will be an option to fill our a "customer profile" where you are asked to give more information about yourself. Information such as where you live, picture of yourself, and why you are visiting in the first place will be options to you. This is important to the forum moderators/owners to separate you from the "spammers" who are just attempting to use the site to get their link placed and seen. Don't be afraid to fill this part out as completely as you can.
Those are the 3 best tips for website link building in forums. Utilize these tips to improve your overall marketing campaign, traffic to your website, search engine rankings, and ultimately sales.
